The history and the importance of this unfinished church (or actually a medieval cathedral) is much more interesting than what is there to see. There is basically only the walls to see, no roof. Kirkjubour and the road there is on its own worth a...More

If you like to visit old and historic places this might be worth a visit. We hiked here from Tórshavn together with a local and experienced hiker and had arranged to be picked up by car back to Tórshavn.

Wear good supportive shoes to walk around this building and the grounds. There is no roof to the cathedral and the paths get wet and slippery.

An interesting place for a stroll around the historic site and small village. Whilst it’s only a short drive or walkable from Tórshavn it feels totally different, as it is so small and peaceful.
