Absolutely beautiful stop. Crystal clear. Wonderful family place. Great at any age and water is accessible to anyone in any condition. The boardwalk is just as wonderful as the spring. It will bring you to one huge (actually two that became one) bald cypress. The...More

We've swam in this spring several times in the past when passing through this area and decided to take another quick dip in the springs to cool off on a steamy summer day (prior to the afternoon showers). To cool off in a beautiful spring...More

We stopped by while beginning our vacation. It is a little small, but not crowded. Beautiful springs and a comfortable experience. We will probably be going again next time through the area.

Fanning Springs State Park has good parking and all the facilities, the rangers take good care at the park. You will see lots of birds, and an equal amount of wildlife. The weather is beautiful and all the trees and foliage are in full color.

We went here to try to see Manatee's. The spring was beautiful! Guess we were a little late to see manatees. They were out to sea. Nice walk. HOWEVER, was unjust that you pay $6.00 for the state park. for a day visit only. Guess...More

We stopped to cool our feet on a bike ride on the Nature Coast Trail. Although it was Feb., people were swimming and having a great time. I imagine the park is quite crowded when the temps increase. This is a spring that flows into...More

The water stays a constant 72 year round, so that depends on you. We went to Silver Glen Springs yesterday and snorkled - no wet suits. We were good until we got out.

Manatees can usually be seen between late November to mid-March, depending upon the water temps at the time. The colder the outlying waters to more apt the manatees will come into the 70 degree waters of the springs.
