The visit was good but although we had booked much earlier the accommodation promised was changed when we reached and some other no so comfortable accommodation provided. The boat experience was good mainly because of the staff on boat.

We had a wonderful one day trip to Sunderbans. The pick up and drop were good, the car was clean and comfortable and the boat was clean and well maintained. The breakfast and lunch on the boat was delicious. The sight seeing was very good and the entire boat trip was serene and comfortable.

With the several stops, we saw the many places through the watch towers. We were lucky to see a deer too.The staff were very polite and helpful. Our special thanks to Mr Nirmallya who was our contact person all through and made the trip a memorable one and responded to all our calls and queries. 🙏👏💐🎊

* tour operator forgot to pick us up. Blamed us even though we were at pick up point. A taxi driver saw us and flagged down an English speaking hotel worker who called the tour company and git us picked up. TAB called me back and told me I was supposed to call and confirm the

tour. No where did it say this in any of our correspondence.

We were then brought the to wrong place and dropped off..thank goodness a wonderful Bengali family was traveling on
the tour and they phoned the tour operator and got the boat back.

We then arrived at a different port and the Bengali family who spoke English were put up in a hotel and we were taken to
another hotel...it was NOT as advertised...it was OK but definitely NOT the high end as on the website.

We had none of the tours that the brochure said our itinerary
would be, the bird watching tour was they sent us out in a boat with no guide to tell us what the birds were and no one that spoke English. There was no hike through the jungle as promised, there were no bicycles to ride around the village.

We were told "come" , "stay", and "20 minutes" (which we learned was 2 hours) this seemed to be the only English that the "tour guide" in the village knew.

We felt like an after thought,
being dragged from place to place, but not told what was happening. We booked a 2 night 3 day tour and after 1 night at this village all of a sudden our Bengali tourists who were leaving as they only booked 1 night, told us that they were
moving us to a different village that would be much better and to pack our things, because the tour operator only booked our hotel for 1 night!!! Not the 2 that we booked and paid for.

The previous night we watched a
tribal dance put on by the women...it was over 2 hours long, and you could tell that the women were being told to keep doing more dances and stalling for time it was 8:30 at night and "tea" was at 2pm all I wanted to do was go to bed...the tour
operator would not take us back
to our hotel until we had eaten,
but we were so tired we were not hungry, so I had maybe a table
spoon of rice and we asked to go to the room..yet again! They finally took us, and now it was 10:30 pm , and we were to be up and packed, ready to move at 8 am... oh did I mention that there was religious music being piped on loud speakers 24/7 really
loudly throughout the sundarbans, so any thoughts of seeing any wildlife would be impossible because it all ran from the sound....did not think this would be allowed in a Unesco wildlife park, it was
advertised as a quiet place to get away and see nature.

We were then put on another boat and carted around climbing the lookout towers on the maximum heat of the day (like any wild animal is going to
come out into the blazing
sunshine in the heat, you normally see wildlife early morning or late evening and night, but we were constantly dragged out it the hottest points of the day looking for wildlife. Did I mention that there were 32 oth boatloads of people doing the same thing in the
mangroves? It was like a train
going down the river, with impossibly loud engines on each car, and the music blaring in the background.

We were then taken back, put on another boat, taken to another island and taken on a tour? of a
village, our driver spoke no
English and would drop us at locations and point to stuff, we obliged by taking pictures, but we have no idea what we were taking pictures of except for the weaving and loom room. We were then handed off to another
boat and once off the boat told to "wait 20 minutes" . So we sat, for 2 hours in the heat while having our pictures taken with locals by locals, because they don't see many light skinned light eyed people.

P.S the new place was not better and even closer to the loud speakers with music, so no sleep for us.

We were passed off to Lil, who was the only person who spoke enough English for us to talk to, he was our first driver and our last driver...super amazing, stopped and got us fruit in the market for lunch and dropped us at our hotel.

All I all this was the worst tour ever, it seems that it has been contracted out or outsourced so many times that the tour is just a patch work quilt that was so unraveled by the time we got there that it was definitely NOT as advertised.

The whole experience was a learning one...the only plus was that the food was amazing everywhere we went.

But I don't recommend this tour

Great hospitality. Very simple people hosting the Sunderbans Wild Camp, with great food (authentic Bengali fare) and limitless river cruises! The boat used for the cruise was excellent with a bed in the under deck for sleeping! The cultural programme hosted the evening was electrifying and created fond memories forever. Nirmalya arranged the whole tour for us in a very transparent manner and was very reachable. Everything was arranged properly (pickup from home, boat trips, stay and drop back at home).
Only thing that could be improved is the private jetty that Wild Camp stay has.

We were quite disappointed with this one day tour to the Sundarbans - it was very expensive for the services provided. The pick up from the hotel for the 3 hour drive was on time but in a small car and the driving was overly aggressive (at least there were seatbelts). The breakfast was very limited and for lunch we were given the leftovers from breakfast. Unfortunately the guide didn't speak any English (we were promised some English). I wouldn't recommend this company.
