Spend a couple of hours at the worthwhile facility. Basicly running on the smell of an oily rag, this organization does a wonderful job rehabilitating & re-settling New Zealand Falcons. There is a small, but interesting, museum. Make sure you are there at 2 o'clock,...More

This centre is playing an important role in the protection of our NZ falcons, and in educating the public about them. They have some great display aviaries, where you can see falcons, harrier hawks, moreporks and barn owls, and a small museum about falcons and...More

A good show that shows what the NZ hawk can do in the wild. They are help out injured hawks and release back into the wind when possible. Take your own food with you as food is n/a at location. Worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our visit and learnt a lot. Our kids had a great time and very much enjoyed the display, they also got to hold the falcon on their arm. Excellent center doing great work for endangered species.

Wingspan is a great place to go. If you head up there about 1:30pm you can look around the aviary and in the museum before the talk and flight demonstration at 2:00pm. Well worth the look and helping with education and rehabilitation of injured birds.

We loved being able to see all of the falcons in the aviary while we waited for the show to start. They are all so different and Hisan was such a character; flying right up to the mesh to check us out before flying away...More

This is just an incredible place to visit. The centre is dedicated to saving injured native falcons and repatriating them or using them as breeding stock to increase the numbers in nz. These birds are just beautiful and this is an amazing look into the...More
