Jui Tui Temple is a famous chinese temple in phuket old town. I was there during the chinese lunar new year and it was very crowded as people come to offer their prayers . there are many god deities inside the temple. the temple have 2 parts so don't miss out the other, which I almost did.

We were fortunate to be guests of our friends who sponsor this temple. The vegetarian festival is something not to be missed. It’s part evangelical snake charmer and part speaking in tongues craziness. I am not a believer but these people sure are. That’s what made it so interesting to watch.

I felt privileged to be here, as it is very much, an active temple of worship. And, I could feel a positive energy all around this highly spiritual place. There are a lot of artifacts, figurines and artwork, all masterfully put together to enjoy (see my YouTube), in this fantastic shrine. Well worth dropping in and feeling the reflective vibe.

This is a fairly small temple structure located around 10 mins walk from the core of the old town in Phuket Town. If you're in the area and temples are your thing then it may be worth a quick look. When I was there it was the lead-up to Chinese New Year and so the lanterns were out in force.

Jui Tui Shrine is Taoist shrine. Originally, “Jui” in Chinese means water. For “Tui,” it means a white mortar. The bright red and golden colours and statues are the highlight of the shrine. It's quite interesting to watch people come here to pray and find answers to their questions using fortune sticks. This shrine also plays central role in the annual Phuket Vegetarian Festival, which is also listed in Tripadvisor.
