About
This is a serious attraction on Samui and people travel from far and wide to experience this thrilling ride over the spectacular jungle canopy below. It’s scary but totally safe. Everything looks so small down below from the high mountain retreat and you can see Lamai and its beautiful coastline in the distance. From the wooden terrace you can sit on comfortable chairs and relax over a coffee or drink to watch the colors of the sky and sea transform into warm lilacs and reds as the sun sets. It’s a wonderful time of day to be up here and totally unforgettable.

This hidden view point on Lamai beach has been a local favorite spot to visit for a great view, good drinks, and pleasant breeze. You can take a short, simple but look a bit crumpy cable car that cost THB150 per person round trip. The view above is quite relaxing with a local cafe selling drinks. You can choose to walk up and could take 30 mins or less with quite a good stairs till the top.

Dear Suwatss, Thank you for the positive review. We do hope to see you next time soon. Locals and foreigners quite like this hidden spot in Lamai as a relaxing and chilling place within reach. Options to walk or to take cable car for those who cannot manage to walk further up. Have a nice day ahead. Warm regards, MG Manager

Lamai Viewpoint is a great spot to grab some lunch, as its perched atop one of the hills overlooking the Lamai coast. There's a little tram that takes you up to the top, which is recommended, and for those with adventure in their blood, 2 zip lines from the cafe across the forest below. Highly recommended for great scenery, especially when the weather is clear!

Entrance fee is 200 baht. The fish spa was close. You have to pay more for the cable car or ziplining (900-1000 baht).

Valentine stone is very underwhelming (just stones bro). It is quite a way up so wouldnt recommend the elderly to travel there with slippery stones. The scenery when you reach the top is decently nice but the bar on top sells drinks at pricey prices (a mineral bottle was like 150 baht?). Alot of insects by the way. I was continuously walking and moving but still got bitten a few times.

Dear doubletan, Thank you for the feedback to our place, however, the misleading information is somewhat incorrect and price you mentioned is exaggerated. For the fish spa, anyways, it is one of our freebies but you came the time we have renovation for our fish spa to make it more better and can cater to a larger volume of guests. So in order not to mislead the other travelers, we do have entry fee 100 baht and if you wanted to have a short walk and a ride in our cable car, just additional 100 baht for a two-way ride. a bottled of water for 150 baht is too much and our price is only 25 baht. On the other hand, we should always have a common sense before we go to a tropical countries, we must be ready to protect ourselves specially insects, bugs and the like. We cannot control the bites of the insects specially mosquito bites, but we provided a free cream lotion before you enter, it is always situated on our table at the reception. We are sorry that we didn't give your expectation. Warm regards, Ms. MG

I would have happily paid for a drink at the viewpoint but I felt as though 100bht was too much for a walk uphill and entrance to a cafe.
The valentine stone isn't worth the 100bht to get into the garden either.
It would be better to keep the high cafe prices and charge less to walk up.

This is a cute place built for tourists to try to squeeze as much as possible from them. A very short 200 Bht per person cable ride to a restaurant that has a nice view. But be careful, they ‘accidentally’ added 100 Bht to our bill at the restaurant. They found it very funny when I noticed – I guess most tourists do not check.

Dear ithais2016, We're glad to know your feedback. A Cable Car ride is included already in the entry fee for a roundtrip ride. It is intended for those who cannot manage to a long walk to the top and that is really the reason why you need a cable car to shorten the long walk. Regarding to the additional 100 baht charged, we sincerely sorry for that situation, for sure they ACCIDENTALLY charge it, hopefully, at that time, you suppose to tell the cashier so we can solve the problem right away. They are trained for customer service and work with us for a long period of time. Sometime, human as we are, specially if busy hours, posting and charging in a system could be lead to some mistakes, however, we are there to solve what problem is it as long as you tell us right there and then. Thank you and have a good day ahead. Sincerely, Ms. MG

It's definitely a nice view and it's nice to have a drink at the small bar on the top. There's also a very small funicular so if you don't want to walk or just have a little fun you can take that one at extra cost.

When nearby I would surely pay this viewpoint a visit, but don't expect it to be the highlight of you stay on koh samui, it is not that spectacular. Just fun!

In my opinion it's a tourist trap. 200 baht each for the cable car to get there, beers are overpriced and the crispy pork was neither crispy or barely edible, if you like tough, hard, gristley, fatty pork choose this. In fairness the pizza looked OK but why come to Thailand and eat Pizza. The view was ok, it overlooks the roof of a massive Makro supermarket, no chance of seeing a sunset. Not something I would recommend or experience again.

This was a nice experience and as we are staying in Lamai it was right on the doorstep and was in walking distance. The views were okay but I wouldn’t recommend visiting especially to see it. The walk up and down is nice and there are also the feet nibbling fish that are included in the entry fee which was a nice touch.

After a 10 min up, you can enjoy a beautiful view and have some drink and food
They have also a cable car to go up and a zip line to go down. For us the zip line was expensive (800thb for 2min…) so walk it is a good option ! It is not so complicated but a little sportive 😊 the good thing needs effort !
