You might not necessarily like the wines you get to try (€10 for a tasting of 4 mid-range, €15 for a tasting of 4 high-end), but the place is relaxing, modern and well organised. The welcome is immaculate, as everywhere in Portugal!

This is a great place for a stop for the serious wine lover. This is one of Portugal's finest wine estates. The beautiful chateau, grounds and estate are a fantastic place to linger (but avoid the mid-summer heat) and the wine tastings are excellent and...More

An interesting collection of art pieces, 2000 year old olive trees and a japanese garden complete with Japanese art pieces. There is also a good collection of Portugese wines and muscatels especially the rare purple muscatel which is only found in Portugal. A great day...More

Interesting place to visit with an excellent museum focusing very much on the tastes of the owner. The winery is extensive, although you don't get to see the wine being made, there is a wine tasting at the end.

Really enjoyed what started out as a three wine tasting before lunch and turned into at complimentary tasting of some of their finest productions. Left with two of their amazing wines for a fraction of what we'd pay in New York. Beautiful tasting room surrounded...More

Like the Bacalhoa palace, most or the visit is about art, not wines. The group was too large, the guide was rushing a bit throught it. The cellars were interesting but even there we spent more time talking about the art rather then the wine...More
