About
Upper Reach is a family owned and operated boutique winery, on the banks of Perth's Swan River. We'd love you to come for a wine tasting at our crisp, clean Cellar Door with huge views of the vineyard. You could be anywhere, but you're only 30 minutes drive from Perth! The only accommodation on a vineyard in the Swan Valley is the Upper Reach Spa Cottage, this historic two bedroom cottage has been fully restored for you to enjoy 'owing a vineyard' for the night- there is just one cottage so your privacy is assured! Our aim at Upper Reach is to produce wine of the highest quality from estate grown fruit, each wine reflecting both the vineyard and the particular vintage.Upper Reach is one of the top Swan Valley wine producers, with an extensive list of wine show awards. We believe that wine is one of life's essentials along with good food, family and friends. Come in for wine tasting in a relaxed, inviting setting every day of the week, 11am until 5pm.

Today we had lunch at Upper Reach Winery it was a very windy day but we still sat in the verandah to admire the views. The service was good,the food was very delicious as usual especially the octopus,Kingfish and blue swimmer risotto was to die for.
Thank you to the chef for the fantastic meal.
PS. We had a bottle of your beautiful Grenach Shiraz which complemented our meal.

Lovely birthday celebration for my Mum. We arrived early to do some wine tasting and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. As we had a table booked at the restaurant, the tasting was free. We were then greeted at the restaurant by more friendly staff who were very patient with us as we took our time selecting from the menu. The food was delicious and well presented - highly recommend the lamp parcel. The restaurant also offers a pizza area which is located in the garden, along with a wood fire and plenty of room for the kids to run around. A lovely day out and I can't wait to return.

Laura charged as $100 +$50 an hour for her expertise. She was nowhere to be found. We pay $150 plus 20% gratuity an hour for essentially a driver. She made reservations for us and thats it. That's no knowledge sharing or nothing. You could get the same experience going to the wineries yourself. We are paying over $900 for a driver got 5 hours!

Just to let you know that we do not offer guided tours around the Swan Valley, nor do we provide drivers and cars or make bookings at other wineries.

I love everything about the place, the beautiful countryside, the relaxed vibe, delicious food and even more so the wine! I love Indi the dog too it’s truly beautiful place to unwind

This was a gift from my son & I took my sister who was visiting from tge UK. This was a great experience for both & I got to show off one of the best parts of WA. Our tour guide had an amazing knowledge, which took us from the vine to the wine bottle. Lauren even booked us an Uber as my phone had gone flat, so amazing customer service too. I would highly recommend this trip.

Had visited 3 other wineries and asked at the last one where to go, was pleasantly surprised. Nice grounds but the wines were much more impressive than I expected. Also very friendly Cellar Door. Worth a visit.

Beautiful boutique winery.
Went for wine tour and tasting with Laura. Their Wines has very distinctive characteristics. Had a better understand of the wine making process. Did shopping at their cellar door like manjimup truffle.
Stay at on-site cottage. Very private and exclusive. well layout with full kitchen. Had BBQ using the weber gas grill too.
Had 3 course meals in their restaurant. Thumbs up. Every dish is very amazing. Tranquil view while I dine.

The Lunch and service were outstanding. Even when an error was made it was corrected promptly and without fuss. The food was 1st class. Going back definitely. If want a cheap and cheerful, go the pizza's in the vineyard. Loved it!!!

We had an absolutely amazing time on our wine tour and tasting! We were shown how the wine is made, got to see the grapes after they were pressed and got a really in depth tour of how wine making takes place, difference between whites and reds and show the amazing vines up close (even for a few grapes right off the vines). The wines were delicious, Lauren was awesome and we really did have a great time! We finished off by adding on having lunch at the restaurant there and it was delicious! Really friendly staff all around and highly recommend for an amazing day out! It’s great to be able to appreciate the amount of work that goes into each bottle of wine! Thanks !

We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tour and tasting at Upper Reach - beautiful winery, great experience, and we both learned a lot of new information about wine.
We stayed for a most enjoyable lunch - everything was good, and probably one of the best pork dishes I can remember eating.

Hi, was wondering whether to book table at the restaurant for a twilight concert, all the decking is already booked, so would we be better off just bringing a picnic and getting there early for a good spot?

Either option will be great- you can still get down to the dance floor in front of the band from the restaurant- if you want to dance.... if you do bring a picnic- bring a rug rather than chairs...you can sit right at the front (chairs to the rear of venue)
