About
Olive Farm Wines was established in 1829, making it the oldest established winery in Western Australia. The Yurisich family took ownership in 1933 and since then Four generations have been making an exciting range of wines, including méthode champenoise sparkling, white, rosé, red and fortified wines. Being a 4th generation family owned & run winery our greatest asset is the knowledge and passion passed down from generation to generation. Little pearls of wisdom in each specially crafted bottle of wine, we know you'll taste that love and care shown to each vintage.

Really enjoyed trying the wines at Olive Farm Wines. $10 for eight tastings, or complimentary if you buy any bottle. The beautifully presented tastings came with a small bowl of olives.

Thanks to Gemma who talked us through the wines and was really helpful and friendly.

I particularly liked the label on the water bottles :)

My friend Arthur Poole loved a good red wine and he said that Olive Farm Wines made the best value-for-money wine in the Swan Valley. The first vineyard was planted by Thomas Waters in 1829. The vineyard was purchased by Ivan Yurisich from the original owners in 1933. Ivan Yurisich was from Yugoslavia, like many Swan Valley vignerons. The family built a new winery in 2006; it's now in the fourth generation of family ownership. Olive Farm produces many varieties of wine, all made from Swan Valley fruit.

Many West Australian wine aficionados rate Olive Farm as one of the Swan Valley's top vineyards. My old friend Arthur Poole always had a flagon of Olive Farm red on hand to share with friends. Most of the Swan Valley vignerons are of Yugoslavian origin, they are wine makers in the same tradition as the Germans in the Barossa and the Calabrese in the Riverland. The Swan Valley vignerons make wine because it is their vocation, but they are more down-to-earth than mystical about the fruit of the vine. The rest of us can just enjoy it.

I was expecting so much more from this well renowned winery. From the outset, many of the wines are exceptional, however I was overwhelmed with the sheer amount of varieties on offer. Out of the four wineries we visited on our wine tour, this was the worst educational experience. When a scheduled wine tour visits a winery, the visitors are after a unique, intimate and educated experience. What our tour experienced was a rushed explanation of what wine we were tasting, with the next wine presented even before we’d appreciated the current one. We simply weren’t offered the time to deeply appreciate the wine we were sampling. This was a Sunday and it was obvious that the vineyard host was simply belt feeding tours such as ours through which unfortunately provided a negative ‘wine tasting’ experience.

Olive Farm Wines would have to be my favourite Swan Valley destination!

Lazy afternoon tasting at Olive Farm Wines with the super knowledgeable, friendly and amazing staff is always a win! And you'll never leave empty handed.

A rather extensive selection of wines ranging from some stellar sparklings, through a wide range of whites (Semillon, Chardonnay & Fume Blanc among my faves!) and a fantastic line up of Reds (loving the Touriga atm). Plus a good selection of fortifieds to round things out. With a range this big, you are sure to find something to suit everyone!

The Wine Club is free to join with awesome benefits and regular events that are an extra cool bonus!

Thanks Anthony, Steve, Jordan, Gemma, Tess, Sarah and all the team at OFW!

I will definitely keep coming back!

Olive Farm Wines is a family affair. It has been in the same family for many years. Like many Swan Valley wineries, the family owners were originally from Yugoslavia, The Swan Valley is a warm climate region, it produces hearty reds comparable to any wines in Australia. If you have time, take a day trip to the Swan Valley and taste some wines at Olive Farm Wines, you won't regret it.

What a fantastic experience with Anna. We spent about 1 1/2 hours for an extensive tour and tasting. It was great to have someone so familiar with the winemaking process guide us.

Family owned and operated. A high degree of leading edge tech involved, which I view as smart. There was a huge number of wines made, constantly changing as the winemaker has a new idea. Probably one of the most educational tour I’ve had in a long time.

I don’t know if this was a standard experience or not as it was arranged for us by Up Close and Local tours.

Thank you for a lovely tasting experience with a very knowledgeable staff member who made it fun. Sometimes wineries make inexperienced wine drinkers feel silly, but you answered our questions and made great suggestions for ones to try. We went home with some very nice drops! Shame the cheese side of the business is gone, but we hope you will come up with something great to take its place.

Beautiful red and fortified as well.
The gentleman doing the tasting is very knowledgeable and overall that is a place not to be missed...
We didn't have time to do the full tour or trying their cheeses, but we still ended up buying 15 bottles to send back home...
