After Borobudur sunrise, we went for another sunrise at Bukit Panguk Kediwung. It was nice to have a sea of clouds just below us. According to our driver, the valley and river in this area contributed to the formation of the beautiful clouds. Its entrance fee is 5000 rupiah compared to 475000 rupiah for the Borobudur sunrise. It is more tranquil than Borobudur. Great place for sunrise viewing!

I suggested to my Singaporean guests to visit Bukit Panguk during Ramadhan Month and yes! It was perfect trip a week ago.

This hill just for US! No local tourists! Just us! . My guests were so happy because they didn't like crowded destinations.

We spent almost 2 hours here, enjoyed the breeze, the view, the selfie platforms, and walked around. Of you are foreigners, Ramadhan is the best choice. Local tourists not travelling during this month.

Don't worry about foods. Many foodcourts still open in Yogyakarta.

We reached at 5am. Sunrise view started around 5.20am. Intimating for those who have phobia of heights to take the nice shots. Rp3,000 per photo station.

I liked the fact that this church shows how different religions can be accommodated and harmonized in one place.

This place has a beautiful sunrise and a few photo spots. It is not too crowded and locals like to come here for their wedding shots too. Entrance fees is also relatively cheap at IDR2500. Worth an early visit to catch the sunrise at 5am.

Bukit Panguk Kediwung (Hill of imagination) is an ideal location for watching sunrise, my driver Sewa strongly recommanded me to go there as early as 5 a.m. in the morning. Far from the steep hills, a winding river flowed along rapidly beneath the bush-valley. With a horse-drawn cart as a backdrop, hooves at full stretch jumped into the air. Though it was not crowded, tourists with all strength scrambled up the cart for a better look .While pictures taking, they usually had a smug self-congratulatory smile on their faces. There were wooden planks with "Sapta Pesona " (Seven Charms) pinned as follows: Aman (Safe); Tertib (Discipline); Sejuk (Cool); Bersih (Clean); Indah (Beauty); Ramah (Friendly); and Kenangan (Memory). As chill wind and drizzle never come singly, so it is better to have a waterproof jacket to keep warm, otherwise it is extremely easy to catch cold.

Recommended by our driver, Erwin (+62 888 06891000), this is where the local love. We initially planned to go Mangunan Fruit Garden but Erwin recommended this place. No regret. It was not crowded and sunrise was just majestic!

Entrance ticket was only IDR2,500. We paid IDR3,000 per person for each photo spot. Photo spots are amazing with the mountain view at the back.

One of the spot i love in Mangunan Area is Bukit Panguk Kediwung.

I and wife came before the sun rose. So we could enjoy the atmosphere, from dark to light.

There were some manmade photo spot that you can use. We had to pay 3000 rupiah each spot. Cheap.

There were some warung that provide foods for breakfast.

With wife,
