This please called negri diatas awan or country on top of cloud... it’s very beautiful place, you can see the cloud under you. It has photo scenery. It’s very cheap entrance fee. Probably if it is managed well will be more tourists coming

We decided to visit Bantul Destinations during Ramadhan especially Jurang Tembelan Kanigoro or Tembelan Cliff.
We visited this place a week ago and yes! We came in the right month. So quite , just us! So private, and so beautiful.
My Singaporean guests didn't like crowded destinations. We were so happy and we got amazing views.

Actually, Tembelan Gorge has a good view, but to me there's nothing special than that. Indeed, the management of that place is creative enough in making several photo spots, but that's the only things they have. Nothing special: just photo spot (only in in some meters area of that place) and just a good view of the mountain that can be seen from the side of the gorge!
To me who love to see a good view was still able to enjoy it (though I was not satisfied enough), but as to other person who expect more that that, I guess it's a bit disappointing.

Recommended by our driver, Erwin (+62 888 06891000), this place only costs IDR2,500 per person. The best part is the photo spots are free!!!! We did not have to pay anything.
We had breakfast there too. It was just indomie but still good (we were probably have hungry). They sell soursop too. Only IDR10,000 for one about the size of a hand.

Not much to see in Jurang Tembelan. Yes, there were photo spots but nothing special. The view was just ok. They charged us for Rp 10.000 for 2 persons and 1 car which was ok. Overall, I must say that this place is overrated.

Recommended by a local friend, we asked our guide take a detour from Pengger Pine Forest to Jurang Tembelan (Tembelan Gorge). It was approximately 20 mins drive. After the big parking lot, we enter into this tourist site through a small gate marked in Javanese & Indonesia “Welcome”.
We walked through a lane with stalls selling drinks and snacks with wooden tables and benches on opposite side for customers. This lane is fully covered by shanty roof.
At the end is toilet facilties, after here, it leads us into a refreshing and relaxing vista on whole nature “photo spot”.
This Gorge sits up on a hill, with several prop models namely the boat hull aka Titanic Boat that extends from edge of a cliff , a propeller plane, a viewing deck and other cliff hanger objects.
Standing on the height of these objects , we could capture a panoramic views of clouds above Yogyakarta country side , the river flowing beneath and green hills surrounging the area. The drop from the cliff where we are standing to the valley ground could be more than a kilometer !!
Many visitors are waiting to get on the props models for their photo shoot, for those who needs help, there is a photo booth nearby to assist at a fee.
Although the creations of those prop models may look scary, for those who likes scenery from a height, the view beyond is certainly unique and stunning !!! Keep up the nature tourism !!

the area is small and only few photo spot. all of the spots are free. The view is superb nice especially for the first spot.
A little bit crowded if during holiday seasons.
there are some small stall and you relax for a while before going back.
