Alien?....Was this rock dropped by the alien from outerspace?. We should not come looking for it if it was not part of the jeep tour. It's a big stone came from the mount Merapi when it was erupted.

This is the same place as the Alien Rock. It should be called a rock instead of a stone as it is quite big. This flew out of the volcano during the eruption.

We stop here during our third day trip in Yogyakarta . We did Merapi morning sunrise with Jeep tour , but unfortunately can't see the sunrise . Was to cloudy . On the way back we stop here to see this place . Its call Alien stone because of the shape of the big stone looking like a face of human and the other side looking like a head of lion .
Actually nothing special but worth to visit to fine another picture spot

More impressive due to the force taken to send this giant rock so far rather than the face. Reminder of the devastating power of the volcano

A big rock that resembling a face from certain angle. Maybe not too impressive - or even boring - for regular tourists, but if you can appreciate nature more, how it got there and formed like that from Merapi magma chamber, it is pretty amazing.
It's one of three++ stops from the short Merapi Lava Tour. The surrounding was nice; an edge of a cliff where you can enjoy very nice views far down.

During our Mount Merapi Lava Tour, we visited this site. The huge rock was flung from the mountain during the Mount Merapi eruption.
It resembles the face of something Alien.

This is one of the sights we were taken to during the Merapi Jeep tour. It is a rock which resembles a face which they named alien rock or stone.

this is a huge stone which was flung far across the valley during the eruption. They will show you features of a face on the stone. There is a good view point of mount Merapi from here which can be a good background for photos. The driver will do a couple of fun photos also
