Lovely walks by the water and nice place to have lunch. Tow path easily accessible but footpaths to Glen Faba Lake better to have walking guide or map. Fish and Eels pub at the weir a lovely spot to stop for something to eat.

An excellent walk round an nature reserves. The hides are well sited and provide excellent views of the lakes and therefore the birds. The Kingfisher hide will not disappoint as views of the beautiful bird are very common during the summer.

My first visit here and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A quiet, peaceful reserve with easy walks. There are numerous, very well constructed hides. Can get very busy with photographers at times! There's loads of wildlife to see including common terns, black tailed godwit, green sandpipers,...More

Kingfishers are the star attraction here no doubt, especially when breeding. Plan for a few hours - its quite small but there is plenty to see. Staff at the centre are very helpful and welcoming. Facilities are clean too. Well maintained grounds - don't forget...More

Went to see the kingfishers and we were not disappointed. We saw them feeding, mating and just posing for the camera. An extensive reserve with many good quality, clean hides and plenty of wildlife to see. Very impressive.

Great place, spoilt by the noisy go kart site, pumping music and petrol heads. It is such a shame as this site is an amazing site and would be so so so peaceful without the go kart site nearby. The huts and grounds are well...More
