Danau Toba's stakeholder maybe just develop the main attraction without develop the facilities among them. Tourist didn't feel easiness to enjoy the lake without distraction from bad facilities. It just... Lake and hotels.

I couldn't believe that it was actually a lake, it is so huge! And has simply exquisite natural beauty, hills surrounding it! Absolutely breathtaking! The island inside the lake was a bit disappointing but other than that everything was perfect!

We chartered a boat to take us out to the island to see the Batak village. It was very laid back and the water was very still. Even got to drive the boat for awhile. Amazing what can happen when you ask. Very pleasant day...More

Cannot recommend a tour operator. Sorry. We hired a driver to take us by car.

I've booked to Medan on 1 to 4 June. Looking at reviews it seems best head straight to lake toba... anyone knows who I can arrangement for airport to lake toba and accommodation for 4 pax plus day tour.. ?

Hi esthertan, You can head straight to lake toba from kuala namu airport..which place do you want to visit? if you want to go to parapat city, you can take bus from the airport called PARADEP BUS..end destination will be... More

Hi Alison ; for wich period you want to visit Lake Toba ? check our big batak house on the lake ; still some days are available in the first 2 weeks of july ; because of Hari Rarya all spaces fill up real fast..Regards... More
