It's a really nice beach with a fine sand and gentle slope, pretty good for a rather slow morning/afternoon break. It's unfortunately dirty with a lots of rubbish around, seems like nobody really takes care of it. There's almost nothing available (umbrellas, chairs, foods and beverages), so bring it with you if wishing to stay bit longer.

January-February is the season of high tides along Rayong Province's many beaches, and with the high tides come dramatically increased levels of rubbish. The rubbish, which includes plastic, polystyrene, glass, fishing nets, and other assorted flotsam and jetsam is dumped by ships and boats plying the Gulf of Thailand, and is washed ashore by the high tides. I walk my... More

Just a fantastic beach very quiet apart from the locations with all the seafood restaurants, which are all pretty good. White sand and water was clean, watch out for Rip currents in off season.

Not very much people; so if you like tranquility baths it is your place. You can order drinks and thai food and enjoy then just on the shadow. One thing is a little annoying too many vendors pass every 5 minutes.

The heading say it all. Covered in piles of rubbish and dead fish. I wouldn't swim at the beach for anything or anyone.

Both good and bad comments previously are true in my eyes. In addition, I found the beach is a mixture of white and grey sands. I thought those grey earth come from poluted rivers, gulf of bangkok. I felt the beach is not suitable for swimming. Sea food is not cheap too. At the end of the beach, there is... More

Long, quiet beach. If like thai and seafood can find lots good eating. Water and beach was pretty clean, somebody say now it´s better than previous years. Not too much activity, and evening have few places to drink. W find some small bar abaut 200 meters from beach road where have live band, nice evening and most guest was locals.

Mae Ram Phueng beach is a beautiful long beach with the first 6 kilometres from the astern side being the best. Of interest there is an aussie guy called greg who teaches novices surfing in ideal conditions. The waves are small which i guess is great when you are learning. You can google surfing mae ram phueng to find out... More
