Beautiful little beach

This is apparently the biggest beach on Malta , its not huge but it is lovely. Wasn't too packed when we visited so was nice. Lots of places to eat and relax in and around

Didn't appreciate some of the dog faeces on the pavement. Sandy grey beach but water is so clear and refreshing.

Staying at the Mellieha Bay Hotel, took a walk out to the beach a few times. In April, had the use of loungers and umbrellas without charge. Arrived early in the morning to find lots of workers still busy cleaning the beach. Water clear, very shallow, slow gradient - if anything our older children disappointed so few waves. Large shallow bay is sheltered and perfect for kids to play safely in sea, they can walk quite far out in bay and water still only at their waists. Perfect for learner snorkerers too. Sea is crystal clear.

The beach is clean and sandy and the sea is clear and not too deep to begin with.As long as you have the weather to go with it, it's a great day out.The bus service is quite good at about 30mins to most places.Probably this and Golden bay the best in Malta.

About the most child friendly beach in Malta. Ramp access for wheelchairs, clean sand, lifeguards in high season. Vast choice of food within 5 minutes walk. No shade except under the sea wall in the afternoon, so hire an umbrella or bring your own. Be aware there are no ATMs except at the post office, which may charge. Usual wet... More

We visited in April and enjoyed our hours there. It was very quiet and we enjoyed a nice stroll along the beach.

Locals call it Ghadira Bay, pronounced "A-Dear-Ah" and has a wonderful family feel with tourists and locals, very family friendly and places to eat nearby

This Beach is excellent if traveling with young children. In both ends of the beach you'll find cafe's offering drinks and light dishes. Sun beds and umbrellas can be rented at reasonable prices. Great place

The water was amazing. Eventhough it was a lot of people we really enjoyed our day, the view from the beach to the sea is amazing and the colour of the water is amazing and so beautiful. It is also close to the bus station
