It’s about a 15 mins walk along the promenade from the El Faro lighthouse. Clean and nice beach with a touch of volcanic. A number of shops and cafe bars along the front. And a great place to watch the sunset.

Great selection of restaurants and great location as they are all directly on the beach. Slightly more expensive area than some others. We are at a restaurant called The House and it was great. Not that many bars for after you have eaten if you...More

Playa de las Meloneras Very clean Beach. Nice sand and volcanic rock. People in every degree of dress from nothing to completely covered. Mostly low-end stores and shops.

I tried the Playa Meloneras beach while vacationing there but there were way too many rocks for me not very pleasant to walk into the water with these rocks....

Walk along the ramblas to the beach to enjoy the nature reserve with a peaceful area for the birds - a nice touch instead of the usual mad scramble for the euro. Next is the cheap end with souvenir shops and cafes and 'encouragers' to...More

Walk there along the prom every year. Remains a small family beach with lifeguards. Some bars and restaurants. Topless bathing on the Maspalomas edge, nudists tend to stay out of view 'round the corner's.

The centre is a little run down but still worth a visit. The walk, on the promenade, to El Faro de Maspalomas is a pleasant twenty minute walk. The restaurants are cheaper in Playa de las Meloneras.
