Tossa de Mar is so picturesque and very quiet . Lovely Hotels . Only thing that we did not like was the very pebbly beach - very sore on the feet . And everyone seems to even have evening meal after 8 - far too late for us !

Tossa de Mar is absolutely stunning
The beaches are beautiful, lots of restaurants, shops, a little train to show u around, boat trips, scuba diving, lots of historic things to see.
The Villa Vella is amazing overlooking the big beach, it's got the most stunning views if u can get to walk up to the top or catch the train up and walk back down.
Quiet resort for families and couples.

Not my favourite beach. Its quite sloped and deep on entry. The waves at times were rough and calming swim was not possible. Some Beautiful views of castle and lots of shops close by.
But It was extremely busy at times. Space definitely at a premium. The boat trips and harbouring boats completely ruin the vibe. I love a beach and had high hopes for this one. The touring boats from Barcelona and other locations was too much. The boats would roar in felt like every hour. Easily over 100 people on each boat. It took the beauty from the beach. So I'd suggest going early enough to nab a good spot further up beach away from docking boating areas. Which is down near castle end. There are also lots of sun lounger rentals on beach. These also take up huge amount of space. But they are an option if you like an elevation off the sand.

Nice, sandy beach with lots of food stalls around it. From the beach you can take a boat tour to the caves or go on a bigger boat along Costa Brava up to Blanes.

This is a great town to visit but maybe the beach is not the best part of it. However due to its location and wonderful views it does attract large crowds, therefore it gets very busy and overcrowded, even out of the main season.
There are great views of the castle and the facilities of the town are just across the road but the sand is not the best. There are better beaches on this coast but the town has much to offer.

Not sure you can find a beach with better views. Tossa de Mar is a lovely medieval village with great views of a castle built in 1331.

Nice beach but beware when entering the water as it shelves steeply and is deep after about two paces. The sand also is very gritty like builders sand.Aqua shoes are advisable as it is difficult to get out up the steep shelf of sand.

It is a scenic beach on the one hand, but it is too crowded to chill and the beach. I think that you should visit Tossa rather for cultural experiences and probably just dip your feet in water.

Lovely clean beach, plenty of beds without being on top of each other in regimented lines. Great fun in the sea but if you are not a strong swimmer I would say use the other beaches either side of the main one as there is a big shelf so you are out of your depth very quickly and the waves can be unpredictable. They have life guards on duty, which is great, if you have small children you will need to be very vigilant and stay in the shallows. If you are a decent swimmer though it’s great fun, be prepared to get wiped out, brilliant!
