The Fort you can access via a elevator.
The fort has some exhibitions which are not suitable for children mainly (torture techniques).
Views from the Fort a however very nice.

There is an audio tour that you can download and do your own guided tour. It was a bit long in places for me, but then you can just skip to the next bit. I can't remember if they did tours led by a human guide or not. Sorry.
