Hello, from New Zealand here. I went on the Goecha La trek through Thrillophilia in April 2023, and needless to say it is an absolutely excellent trek for the price you are paying… Sleeping bag, tent, 3 meals a day, and transport to and from Yuksom all arranged with the guide.. Not to mention the guide, staff, and rest of the crew who showed great hospitality and made this trek one to remember.. If you are looking for an adventure in the Himalayas with great people, I highly recommend that you consider this trek.

We have completed the Goetcha La trek on 16th October 2022.
Despite the bad weather in first four days we have been lucky that we have completed Goetcha La trek.
We have been followed and helped by a stupendous team. We will give Our 100% rating to Dipesh and his associate staff, he took an exceptional decision at Zongri.
Kiran organized everything perfectly including permits, hotel staying before and after the trek.
During the trek, the cook delighted us with amazing food and the helpers did an excellent job.
We never expected this kind of support at 13000 and 14000 ft
The most important thing Kiran and his team organized Our trip plan within very short time.
One advice for future trackers- If you are planning for this trek please start physical exercise like walking, running, yoga atleast One month in advance, otherwise it would be difficult for you to complete your trekking. In every team there would be two guides and you need to maintain minimum speed with the guides and your team.
Thank you for your support.

We had Goechala trek with Glacier trek ( Prop-Kiran) starting from 9th October till 16 th.
Initial days were tough and demoralising due to heavy rain, though crew tried their best to kept us on track. Trek guide Dipesh showed his character by made us stay at Dzongri camp for the second day, which was the turning point for the entire trip as from that day mountains were visible crystal clear. Finally it leads towards a successful summit at Camp 1. During these extreme situation Dipesh and team provided best food and logistic support they could give. Dipesh, Prema, Mingma, Yancho all were humble and extremely cooperative during the entire phase.
Though tents need to be upgraded a bit which is already acknowledged by the prop Kiran itself.
Thanks for your support....
We all made it..

My wife and me did Goechala trek with Glacial Trek and Adventures. Here's our review based on experience
Positives:
1. Kiran accepts a small token amount to book the trek and you need to pay remaining amount once you reach Yuksom, which is a great positive when compared to IH or TTH
2. Traditional Sikkimise welcome with prayer flag to start the trek
3. Certificate after completion of the trek
4. Positive attitude and drive to get the trek completed by our trek leader Dipesh
5. Clean, nice rooms at Yuksom before and after trek 6. The decision to stay additional night at Dzongri proved very helpful as we got a clear sky and entire Kanchenjunga range. ( flexible plan)
Improvement Areas:
1. The quality of tents was poor. We had 2 nights where we had to put our bags in open and squeeze ourselves in the tent. It was clearly not a 2 man tent. Also it was like a summer tent. Was not keeping us warm, dripping in rain and was cold inside also which we felt at Lamuney campsite. On one rainy night, the zips of tent was not working and we had to use safety pins to close the tent.
2. At Tshoka and Kokchurang we had to pay additional amount to stay in log cabin which was odd.
3. During treks, we were neither at the start or were last but being middle, we were on our own and was not a good experience. You need more staff/crew to go with all trekkers. Esp on the day we reached Lamuney, we were all alone and was getting dark. This was most horrific day for us. We felt lost as we just walking and walking and not reaching campsite. We were told it was 2km from Thansing but was much more. We later understood we walked 15kms that day with next morning was the early am walk to Goechala view point 1, which is too much. No rest given. Would have been good if you added another day of rest before summit climb.
Overall, being local operators, we expected better service considering they are experienced. You really need to give a safe and good experience in your services. Increase your crew members. Maybe 14 people was too much to handle considering small crew you have. You need to look into it, Kiran and improve your services.

Dear sir thank you very much for review I don't mind with this all because this is kind of suggestion for me, and what i will suggest you,
Please next time try to explore privately take premium package and you will get all good facilities and don't try to join in big group because you will never get enjoyment of nature. So I don't understand what people mind so people want to do adventure but why people can't face small issue why people look luxurious adventure,
In adventure it can be happen like natural disaster like cloud brust avalanche and flood heavy snowfall so this time how people can survibe uff and other thing people look cheap and why can't face small issue very difficult to do business, and so in 14 people get only problem for you this is what and how it is your thaught. So other rest of 19 person they are happy they don't have any big issue.

For my first-ever trek, I chose Glacier Trek and Adventure, a company based in Yuksom. The trek was to GoechaLa. There were 14 clients in the group, and I had my aunt, a senior citizen, as my company. The trek has been a successful one, all thanks to the staff of the company. Despite the extreme weather conditions, they were attentive and gave their best to make sure we were comfortable and had the best time. In particular, thanks to the spontaneous decision to stay back at Dzongri, we could get an excellent view. The guide, Deepesh Subba, knows his job well enough and creates a suitable environment for all the team members. I'm looking forward to more treks under his guidance. The team has a brilliant cook, Yunchuk, who tried his best to serve us different delicacies on time. And everyone else on the team, including Ningma, Pema, and two more Dajus, has been hospitable.
Yes, there were a few shortcomings, such as the camping tent and coordination. But, there is always room for improvement, and we are hopeful that the company will do the needful. I'm looking forward to more adventures with the same crew.

We chose Glacier Trek and Adventure for our first trek to Goechala and I am happy to say that it was a successful and memorable one. Our guide Dipesh Subba was indeed a very professional and knowledgeable guide. His decision making and caring attitude towards the entire team adds more to his qualities as an efficient guide. I would also like to thank the entire team for the service they provided during our trek, especially the food which was rich and nutritious and the team work amongst them making this strenuous trek a comfortable one. I am a 60 year old lady, and getting such quality service during my first ever trek makes me seek this company for another adventure. I highly recommend Glacier Trek and Adventure for anyone seeking to trek in Sikkim.

We have completed the Goetcha La trek today.
Despite the bad weather we have been lucky to have clear sky in the sunrise at Goetcha La.
We have been followed and helped by a stupendous team.
Kiran (owner) organized everything perfectly including permits, hotel staying before and after the trek and pickup and drop transportation.
During the trek, the cook delighted us with amazing food and the helpers did an excellent job by moving the camp despite the difficult weather conditions.
Book with this agency and you will be satisfied!!

I’m a retired lecturer who has had a hankering to go on the Goechela trek ever since 2005. For me, 2024 was now or never. But I needn’t have worried. Kiran worked out a nine-day bespoke trek, with rest days and an extra camp at Lamoney. This made it doable for me, and the patient encouragement of my guide Krishna got me to the top on ‘summit day’ Thanks Glacier Treks for helping me to achieve this ambition!

We did the Sandakphu Trek. Originally we were going to stay in tents but there was unseasonably cold weather and at the last minute Kiran who runs Glacier Trek organized accommodation along the route. Our guides Durga and Sonam were excellent and so helpful. The trek is beautiful and peaceful. Also very manageable for beginners. The food along the way was excellent. The only downside was the trekkers hut at Phalut which was not clean. But I can recommend the route and Glacier Trek.

In October 19 I was in Yuksom and wanted to go trekking to Dzongri. It's not so easy for a solo trekker, but Kiran, the agency owner, managed to provide all the permits for me. The only word that comes to my mind to describe my experience is: wonderful! Perfect accomodation, tasty food, and my guide, Giris, an expert, wise and really friendly guy. Nature and landscapes up on the mountains are amazing... I'm looking forward to go trekking to Goecha La with Glacier Trek, and meet my friends again!
Warmly recommended to all travellers.
