We hired a vehicle from Sirsi to visit this place. We used a route wherein the walking through the jungle to the assembly area of the huge rocky mountains is somewhat shorter and thus climbing of the hill is avoided. One can see two huge...More

We started from Siris towards Yana. Google maps will ask you to make right turn after Kodamble village, please don't take it as its a offorad trail. We fortunately found one KSRTC bus standing there whose driver told us to continue straight on SH69 for...More

I have been Yana twice - first time from Kumta, second time from Sirsi. Going from Kumta, the trek is about 2 to 2.5 kms - more tiring. While going from Sirsi, the trek is under 0.5kms - very easy. Either way, once you get...More

You can reach this place from two sides. Either from Kumata or sirsi. Best time to visit in rainy season. The roads to this place is so green and beautiful but one need to be careful while driving in rain.

Surprisingly there are a few routes to get to this place but not properly listed. The route I took was from Gokarna (there is route shown by Google maps which only a 4 wheel drive can do, best is to ask near Alkod from locals),...More

Yana caves are nearly 3 hr drive from Gokarna. The trek to the cave is little tiring but soothing. You will see little waterfalls on your way to the caves. The way inside to the cave is through the shiva temple located there. Inside of...More

The caves are very good looking from the outside, but pretty normal from the inside. The thing I loved the most was the bus ride from Kumta to Yana village and the 2km odd trek followed by a climb of almost 400 stairs. For people...More

Road from Kumta to Yana is very good. It is a single lane road but very well laid without any potholes. You will surely enjoy the drive.

From parking lot you have to walk 1km. Bath rooms are there near parking lot. Stone in falls is bit slipery. Life gourds will be there to assist.
