Nice temple. Serene atmosphere. Origin of cavery river. Devotees can go for a holy dip. Not that crowded. Better to reach before 9am, that too in the winter is wonderful

This is above the Tala cauvery. Yoy have to few steps to get in there. There is also other god temple ganesh inside there. You can also climb to the bramahari hills from here. 377 steps to climb.

The approach road is badand not suitable for small cars. The filth on the bus area is disgusting. The crowds make it a nightmare. It's just not worth risking a 2 hr drive. The view is great, which is the redeeming feature.

Sure, the starting point of Cauvery always has water. It is definitely good time to visit. It will be a bit hot that is all. But the place is very well made up with lots of shelters. Take a cap and sun glasses with you.

There are public toilets nearby which I presume can handle volume but not sure if bathing facilities are available
