This waterfall on the Chalakudy River, lies in between the more famous Athirappilly Falls and Vazhachal Falls. It is a popular stopover for tourists who are visiting the Vazhachal Falls after having seen the Athirappilly falls. It is located close to the road and when in full flow you can feel the water splashing right onto your face.

After Athirapilly Waterfalls before we reach Vazhachaal falls we can see the Charpa waterfall which cascade from a height of about 70 feet. The water during monsoon season will be so thick and flowing at high speed, we can hear the roaring sound from the road. The waterfall is exceptionally beautiful and enchanting during monsoon season and it's better not to try to cross the water or swim because the rock beneath is slippery and even if you are an expert swimmer you may loose balance. Nice place to visit with family or friends.

One among the many falls nearby. Good for a casual visit with family and friends. Avoid days of heavy sun.

Chapra waterfall is located between Athirappilly and Vazhachal. You can enjoy the view from the roadside. The Charpa falls are located just off the main road between Athirapally Falls (25 km from Chalakudy) and Vazhachal. Good point for journey and photo break. It's dangerous to get down into the falls for bathing. The water volume peaks during July-August when the monsoon is in full swing.it was a wonderful experience in my life.

Chapra waterfall is located between Athirappilly and Vazhachal. You can enjoy the view from the roadside. No one is allowed to descend. It is a sight that warms the eyes. Due to the narrow road, there is no parking area. Let's spend some time. My family and I loved it......

After the main attractions, this was a great pull over and photo opportunity, we came just after the rains so the water was in full flow against the backdrop of the rocks, it was quite some scene. A definite to plan on your route when in the area.

Charpa was in between Athirapilly and Vazhachal and on the way. What we saw in May was a tall hanging cliff without even a drop of water flowing down. I happened to see a photo of a fierce Charpa waterfall today, 6th August, while I am writing this. review. Presently, Kerala has heavy ongoing monsoon and all the waterfalls will be fantastic to view.
