Okay to visit once. But not worth the ticket price charged to enter the studio.
Need proper maintenance.

Buy a ticket and see the studio. A lot can be seen specially the palace, the fort, statues and lot of other sets erected for shooting purpose.

Its a Film Studio setup wherein people can actually visit replica Film Sets. Sets of films like Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, Baajirao Mastani, Shaviwar Vada, Sheesh Mahal, etc.
We visited the property in March around Holi with 2 kids. We didn't liked the studio at all. Complete waste of Money & Time. Even kids didn't enjoyed. No Cleanliness, food stinks, Washrooms are dirty and sets are trash.

A good place for a quick stopover enroute Neral / Matheran or the numerous resorts in Karjat. Total time required to cover the place is 2-3 hours only. There are frequent buggy rides inside taking you from one area to another included int he cost and operating on hop on hop off manner. Also guides / TV streaming at most of the place to explain or demo what all shooting happened in the set you are currently at etc.

Don't expect very well maintained sets. Its just the remnants of the shooting which has happened and obviously they are not spending more over its upkeep. But good enough for Bollywood fans can visit.

Also there is a hour long show around 2:30 PM entry for same included in ticket

Pani pat and bajirawo Mastani
Then they have sheesh mahel that is good to see.
They have small wax museum.

Mini Ramoji to visit near Pune. We came across this enroute to matheran. This place has many spots to click a pic. You will enjoy clicking pics at the entrance with big rock cavings of actors. You will then see the filmy wall which is also worth checking.
You will see Sanju Set, KBC set, Jodha Akabar set, Sheesh Mahal and some more. Not maintained so well but go with little expectations.
There was a singing live show which was again average. Salman acting show was at the end which was somewhat entertaining.

Overall above average place to just see what we see on big screens is conceived in film city

ND Studio showcases some iconic sets from bollywood and its a mesmerizing experience. Sets from Jodha Akbar, Manikarnika, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo etc are showcased here. They also have a film museum showing the various pre production glimpses of lots of movies - lagaan, devdas , jodha Akbar and some more. Its spread across a very large areas and good to see electric vehicles kept for visitors to move across the different sets.

The sets do look a bit jaded but are enormous. Would have been great of they had pics or stills if actual film scenes showcasing the sets... Will definitely increase the connect with those sets and people will be more impressed. I found the ticket prices a bit higher although i could feel the management have tried their best here - guides to talk about the sets, electric vehicles, food courts and music and dance shows. Not a full day outing but a good 3 to 4 hours can be spent here.
