Nice peaceful place adjucent to Gitai mandir. You can easily spend an hour here. Sit for a while at evening prayer to be mesmerized by buddhist chanting.

This is one of 80 Piece Pagodas(AKA Shanti Stupa) that are present worldwide. Vishwa Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist Monumental Structure that inspire peace to people of all races and creeds and help unite them in their search for world peace. The Peace Pagodas were initially built as a symbol of peace in Japanese cities including Hiroshima and Nagasaki where the atomic bombing took place during World War II taking lives of over 1 lakh innocent people. Following Japan, there are total 80 peace Pagodas has been built across the world including Asia, Europe and US. The Vishwa Shanti Stupa in Wardha is situated near Gitai Mandir, Gopuri which is nearly 4 KMs from Wardha railway station and around 75 KMs from nearest Airport(Nagpur). This is a large stupa of white color, and statues of Bhagvan Gautam Budhha are mounted on the stupa in four directions. Prayers are done for universal peace in the temple near Stupa. To escape from day to day busy and noisy life, one can visit here to attain extreme peace, its an ideal place for someone wishing to have deep meditation. There is a park near Stupa where one can roam around to experience a beautiful nature, chirping of Birds, beautiful trees shaking in the wind and of course a fresh natural air.

Statues of buddha in four directions is mounted on stoop here and its been a great place for pilgrims over long tome.
I am a big fan of this place. I lived beside this Vishwa shanti stoop for more than four years ( as PG) and so it was a regular place for me and my friends to visit mostly on holidays. You will surely meet few foreign visitors here ( as decent hotel Vidyadeep residency is just 100 mtrs from this place. )
If you love calm peaceful place and if you prefer the places where you can make some short videos and can take few notes then this is a very good place to visit
. Parking & Entry is totally free of cost (just put your name and contact number in their visitors diary) and you can ask for free guide who works as security guard also. There is a large and fully disciplined garden with few small artificial sculpture in the premises. The every corner is equipped with something which provides good information about lord Buddha and his quotes, ideologues, thoughts.

The stoop (means big columns) has some description about lord Buddha's great thoughts about real peace of mind and so this place is known as Shanti stoop. Selfie lovers can have fun time here during evening time.

Tip : The closing time of the entry gate is sharp 7:00 so visit at least two hours before this time. The landmark of this area is 'Gopuri'.

I've visited Vishwa Shanti Stupa after my visit to Bor Tiger Stupa. I had visited the place with my family. The place is good for few hours of trip and an attraction in the city of Wardha. The Stupa is sarrounded by a lush garden.

In the morning sun, with chirps of birds, cool fresh air, no traffic and horns... This is the place where one wants to meditate..
Surrounded by thick greenery, the statues of Buddha takes you into the deepest levels of the self awareness and self realisation..

Though crowded now a days with people coming for morning walks, the place still holds its serenity and calmness as usual..
I really feel lucky to stay so close to real peace..!

Vishwa Shanti Stupa, literally meaning World Peace Monument, is a very calm place to be. With Budhhist chants morning and evening, the atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxed. One is always at ease here. And to top it all, this place is immaculately clean.

The whole campus is amazing. I stayed in Wardha for more than 3 months in 2011 and during this period I was a regular visitor in this campus. Campus has Gitai Mandir, Gandhian Studies Institute, Shanti stupa and a Buddhist temple. Chanting (Na-Myo-Ho-Re-ge-kyo...for more details about this chant kindly 'google'- you'll enjoy it better) is done in evening as well as morning in buddhist temple and it is definitely a heavenly experience. So make sure that you visit this campus either early in the morning or in the evening. Gitai Mandir is also a beautiful park fenced by stones inscribed with all sections of Gita (and thus giving the name Gitai Mandir). This spiritual place was my jogging track in morning and chanting abode in evenings. It has something for everyone and a must visit place if you are in Wardha.

Aptly named vishwa shanti stupa, is a very peaceful and calm place. The atmosphere of the place makes one relax and forget all worries, It is amongst the top 3 places to visit in wardha. finding it was difficult as there are no signages leading to it. Even on the door, the name is mentioned in fine print. Best time to visit in 5-6 pm, which is the prayer timings.
