It is a wonderful temple with amazing terracotta decoration. Located in Bishnupur. Only 15 km from Jaipur.

It is a wonderful temple with amazing terracotta decoration. Located in Bishnupur. Only 15 km from Jaipur.

One of the few temple which is well maintained. It is also known as shyamari temple. It is protected by rope chain,so you cannot enter but that does helps to protect the art on the outer wall of the temple and all four walls are with extremely high valued old terracotta art. Must visit if you are at Bishupur.

We had visited this lovely place in Dec'15 and it lived up to our expectations of seeing the rich heritage of Bengal "podamati" ( burnt earth) temples. We stayed at the Hotel Laxmi Park, one of the few decent hotels close to Rasmancha. The food (especially Bengali Fish rice plate) was awsome !! Our tourist guide was very knowledgeable and... More
