Diveagar beach is located in Raigad District of Maharashtra, which is @175 km away from Mumbai and 160 km away from Pune. Diveagar is @ 20 km away from Shrivardhan Beach. Generally tourists will plan Harihareshwar to Shrivardhan to Diveagar trip as 2 or 3 days Itinerary based on time availability. Diveagar has gained popularity as an ideal weekend destination for Mumbai and Pune tourists as it is nearest beach destination with peaceful atmosphere.

Diveagar beach is also one of the best beach on Konkan area and Shrivardhan Beach is comparatively better than this beach. Diveagar beach stretches across the length of 5 km and this beach is wider as well.

Unique aspect of this beach is it is not a flat surface beach, rather, the wavy shores of the Diveagar beach with high tides make it an ideal setting for sea surfing.

Activities at Diveagar Beach:
Diveagar beach is an Ideal destination for the number of water sports that are available at a reasonable price. Adventure sports that one can enjoy here are
Parasailing, Banana boat ride, Bumper ride, jet ski and motor Boat ride.
Buggy Ride, Horse Ride are also available on this beach side area.

Near By Attractions:
1. Uttareshwar Temple
2. Sundar Rup Narayan Mandir
3. Suvarna Ganesh Temple
4. Velas agar Beach
5. Aragon Beach

This beach is one of three beach in stretch i.e. Diveagar, Shrivardhane and Hariharesheearan. We visited all three beaches in this serial. Diveagar is clean and very long beach but middle & busy part is near Roop narain Temple. Water sports are available here at reasonable price with some bargaining space, if done some activities. Only some small food stalls near beach. Parking is paid. Hotel / resort/ home stay are not at the beach. One need to walk approx minimum 300-400 meter, so do not fall in trap of misleading booking. There are ample home stay and few resort options. Food can be taken at Khahawalas shop/home, which is at reasonable price. We faced low mobile signal issue.

No matter how stressed out you are this beach will rejuvenate you! But not for those in party mood ( you have alibaug or Goa for that).

The coast is very wide, windy and serene. Ideal for long walks. The view of the surrounding mountains is calming! There are secluded parts of the beach where you can enjoy complete peace and have the whole part for your group to enjoy.

The waves are calm and very safe - the slope is so gentle you can walk about 50-100 metres into the water and still be only waist deep.

The sand here is blackish and so soft it won't cause any irritation no matter how much you play in it. Perfect for kids!

All through the beach you will find beautiful patterns of Crab eggs laid...some hatching and little silver baby crabs running around, hermit crabs, starfish etc.

Water sports like banana boat, family boat, jet skis etc available.

Few small shacks serving vadapav, bhaji paav, omlette, maggi and tea/coffee available.

Walk to the beach through village roads is a pleasure and very safe - no danger felt.

Must visit if you are in a mood for a quick weekend relaxation therapy session!

Typical kokan side beach. Has some paid beach activities like water sports, ATV ride, horse and camel ride etc. Normally the average crowd. You can buy some basic food snacks on the beach.

Visit time : 3rd Week August.

The konkan and ghat area are like blessed places in Monsoon. Green, rainy, cloudy, moist .. you name and you feel it. The beach is calm with greyish sand and very few headcounts. Currently no stalls, no water sports (restricted in monsoons) and less crowd, that gives you the real peace and the kind of break we look for. The area needs bit maintenance and rainy bushes covering the shores but it also also adding the 'unexplored' feel. Nearby resorts like Exotica Beach resorts are closed due to maintenance, might be preparing for the Post covid 'Revenge travel' rush.
Morning and evening are the best time to spend. We travelled in weekdays so no people around , enjoy peacefull time.

Diveagar is four and half hours from Panvel. When on Goa Highway I measure distance by referring how much time it will take to reach rather than reading how many kilometres i.
So, we started at 8 am and reached at 1/30 with 40 min Tea break at Shri Dattaguru snacks near Pen. It is nice place

We stayed at Indrakul hotel. Decent hotel, big room with sit out and reasonably priced . Food is good seafood is delicious. We visited gold Ganesh temple , Golden murti of God. Then coastal road of Shekhadi and did some water sports at Dive agar Beach

This place is perfect for weekend gateway from
Mumbai and Panvel. If you are not expecting much, just simple stay and beach, this is the right place for you.

Really amazing we from North part of India only aware of Goa or Kerala beaches. This time selected this off-bit calm and serene beach. Nice clean with no hussele and bussel beach with watersports.
Not yet a cummertioalized people here are so kind and ready to help always.
If you want to explore something new this is the destination for you.
Couple of sightseeing spots like Harihareshwar and Shrivardhan around 35 Kms. Enjoied the Sea side road while this journey to Shrivardhan. Fishing harbours are around 5 Kms where we can get fresh catch.
Janjira sea fort was closed due to current situation.

We went to this place from Pune over a weekend. On weekend many tourists come to this place from Mumbai, Pune and nearby areas. There are plenty of resorts, cottages and homestays for different categories of tourists. This beach is of black sand and due to this it is not very popular with the public. However, it is clean, less crowded has sports facilities like banana ride, sea scooter, sand bikes, buggy ride etc. One can have a nice sunset view from this beach. At a distance of about 2 kms towards the mountains one can see the colony of sea-gulls.

This beach is at a distance from Shrivardhan beach and is reachable from Shrivardhan by car with a road almost along the coast.

It is a very secluded beach with darkish sand and there is a road before the beach starts.

The good part of this beach is that water is not very deep immediately but one can walk in the water upto a good distance compared to other beaches in the region.

1. One of the best beach with blue waters, palm trees and golden sand, however the waves are quite strong and don’t let kids play alone on beach.
2. Avoid during afternoon as sun rays are quite strong. Drink lot of water.
3. Lot of water activities are available. We had banana ride and jet ski. If you book in bulk they will give some discounts.
4. Not many options for food, so you have to rely on home made food or food at resort/hotel.
5. You should buy masala before you leave. Mobile network is not strong.
6. Try Konkani food made at home. There are no AC restaurant. You can enjoy village life.
7. Weather: 27 - 29°C
8. Ideal duration: 1-2 days
9. Best Time: October to March
