From the base point, there is a 20 min trek to reach the waterfalls. There are other activities such as ziplining and boating available as well at extra charges. One can take a dip in the falls. Life Jackets are available for that. The water is so clear and pristine blue. There is a 50 rs entry free to the falls.Visited December 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 24 January 2024

- TS ANANDHyderabad, India490 contributionsTRIP TO KRANGSURI AND DAWKI FROM SHILLONGEnsure you're prepared to walk down from the parking area; unfortunately, it may not be accessible for wheelchair users or differently-abled individuals. However, the breathtaking falls await, boasting clear, sparkling water that's truly a sight to behold. Don't forget your swimwear if you plan to take a dip; there's a nominal fee for entry, but it's hardly a deterrent considering the experience you'll have. Aim to visit during seasons with minimal rainfall to fully appreciate the beauty. Opt for weekend travel from Shillong, as heavy trucks are restricted, ensuring a smoother journeyVisited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 10 April 2024

We visited this waterfall as part of our Meghalaya trip after reading about it online. The reviews about it are really true. It's one of the most beautiful waterfalls. The view is amazing. You need to trek some steps to reach the waterfall, but the view and the beauty of the waterfall is worth it. It has facility for boating and swimming and the entrance fees also includes life jackets of you want to try these. Really worth it.

Amble parking space. From the parking, you have to climb down around 100 steps to reach the ticket counter. Ticket will cost you 50 Rs/- Water fall is small but it is beautiful. You have a view point from where you can take pics. Boating facility is available above the waterfall. Nice picnic spot.

No words are enough to talk about the Meghalaya waterfalls, which are still pristine and less explored. If you are traveling this part of the country a bike ride is the most suitable option, as the roads are good and the environment is clean and clear. September is the best month to visit these waterfalls as the waterfalls have enough water and the weather is pleasant. in the majority of the waterfalls you can swim without many restrictions; however, be mindful of the risk factors.

Must visit jowai and krang suri falls in west jantia hills. The emerald blue water is mesmerising. Though I could not take a dip in it as the water was icy cold in December.

If you are looking for some adventure and some fun than Krang Suri Waterfalls must be on your to do list. One of the few waterfalls in the area which offer you an opportunity to swim. The location is picturesque. However the travel time from Shillong is close to 3 hours and it is more or less a full day excursion. But the excursion is worth the time spent. The falls are amazing, the water is freezing cold and it was memorable experience to swim in the falls.

These are the waterfalls which you will always see when you search for Meghalaya. The falls can be reached after a long climb down from the parking but there is a view ping in between for those who don’t want to climb all the way. There is a small pond in the end where you can swim. We entered through the second entry for which you need to travel further after seeing the first entry board as that is closer to reach the falls. Not a lot of eating options here and public amenities were under construction.

Can we cover krangsuri, dawki plus mawylylong in 1 day ,starting from shillong and night halt at cherrapunji, if not, which is better in april, krangsuri plus dawki, or mawylylong plus dawki
Written 1 March 2020
You can surely cover all 3 in one day with quite ease & it is better to stay in Mawlynong only as Cherrapunjee would require another 2 hour travel. Please note that Mawlynong has home stay options only whereas Cherrapunjee has all variety of hotels & luxurious resorts.
