had a good darshan. Since there was lot of rush for the Winch/rope car, we decided to climb the mountain. Though very hard in summer, by gods grace we managed to climb fully. THat gave us a confidence that both our hearts are in good condition. Thank god.

Overcrowded dirty place not managed well. Waiting time for winch climbing the hill is almost two hours then darshan queue. Most administration staff speaks only Tamil and stay away from our national language Hindi which is a big shame being part of Bharat and not knowing Hindi. Temple signs are mostly in Tamil so difficult for North Indians to understand

The norm in all indian temples are very crowded and everything is commercialized to make money. Even standing in a queue for Darshan. When u finally get in you will be lucky to view the main murthi. The temple architecture is amazing and views were breathtaking. That was the highlight of the long tiring walk up 701 steps.

Palani Arulmigu Dhandayuthapaniswamy Temple is one of the Six Hill Abodes of Lord Murugan! Throughout the year devotees from Kerala, Tamil Nadu & from All over India throng this Hill Temple. Temple has very powerful vibration!

Palani Hill temple can be reached through – One way is Elephant Path & the other one is Steps. Elephant path is contracted for elephants to climb the hill temple on festival days! You also have Rope Car & Winch services to reach the hill top.

We asked for a help to a guide. As my parents unable to climb and reach the top of the temple. We asked for rope car. He charged 1500 Rs per head. The guide name is Mr.Mani. He is a fraud and a cheat. He easily pulls money from your pocket. Attached his contact details. Please beware of him 🙏

0we visited Palani temple 9th Aug this month. The most popular Murugan temple, I would say is not organized to handle the good number of devotees visiting the place.

The Winch train that take devotees to the top of the mountain to temple is a boon. But sadly the management is poor. The allowed capacity is 36 people, but they stuff 5 people in each row, which h is hardly 4 feet and putting people's life st risk. I wish the concerned authorities will look into this.

Secondly the Abhishek panchamutam while available in the temple T the top, the tauts mislead and direct to shore in down hill at cost which is 5-6 fold high. Another racket here.

I got tingling at the Siddhar’s jiva samadhi… the evening alankar time was terribly crowded even with 100 rupee ticket. The priest there in the evening was shouting for Archana and kanikkai. Didn’t like it. We felt we had to give him100 bucks or he would be angry at us. Felt bad after. The morning Pooja was good. The only honest and kind person around was the one at the information centre at the foothill, Mr. Marugeeswsrar. Contact him at 9003736108, he will guide you about morning and afternoon Abhishek and Prasad.
There are touts about and beggars and greedy ppl everywhere who want tips or money. The ambience around isn’t good at all.

Great example of how to mismanage a popular and revered place of worship. Went there in the morning at 9 am with my father who is 77 yrs of age. The security guard refused to give us a wheelchair saying it's only for disabled people and instead told us to stand in the senior citizens queue for the Winch. We stood in the queue for over 45 mins, the line didn't move an inch. No one to offer any guidance or assistance. There were limited chairs to sit so we stood in the heat and we weren't sure how much longer it would take once we reach the temple. Hence decided to exit without going up.
Definitely not a great experience, pilgrim unfriendly environment.
