God krishna was here for rest and some one hit him by arrow. The tree is still available under which this incident happened. We took a auto for local sight seen which charged 300 for half day tour of all points.

could not see much of the temple as its being renovated. , a lot of rush but the history was worth understanding from the local guide.

This temple is the only temple which is little far approx 4km from the main Somnath Temple unlike all other attractions of Somnath but is a must visit. Though the place is under renovation right now but the krishṇa idol is mesmerising. This temple along with Gita temple are also part of Somnath trust. This place has a history where... More

Its a shame that this place is not kept properly having such a historical legendary value, they are constructing a new temple but surrounding is so horrible, one wonders what the government and religious cultural people think! one small temple is there next to big one, which is clean and women devotees chant devotional songs which was the only pleasant... Very quite place with lively tortoises floating around a small lake nearby to a Mahadev temple. The main temple of Bhalka Teerth is under construction but one can still visit inside and offer prayers to the idol of Lod Krishna in a reclining position with the arrow pierced onto his toes, while the hunter Jara stands with folded hands seeking... place where Krishna passed away hit by a poisonous arrow from a hunter. the original tree under which Krishna was resting when he was shot is still preserved. a new grand temple is under construction now.

If we visit Somnath than we should visit once. This place is the death place of Lord Krishna. enjoying horse cart ride with family.

A wonderful temple where Lord Krishna attained nirvana. Currently undergoing renovation but looking forward to visiting again.
