I am told that this is the place where Lord Krishna breathed his last after reciting some parts of the Bhagwad gita. The locals are the only guides and believe this to be true. The spot is very nice and if the government takes interest it can be very good.

Gita Mandir is a beautiful small mandir on the banks of the triveni sangam at Somnath. A very well maintained temple and is a must in your Somnath tour. Not far away from Somnath, there is tranquillity in this place. The tourists owe a responsibility to keep the exterior of the temple clean

Great place of Lord Krishna's last abode after being hit by an arrow. This is very peaceful aloof but nicely developed place. Good work is being done and could develop into a great place for tourists and pilgrims. The river side is so serene and gives a feeling of Divinity.

This is a group of temples situated on the banks of a river. The temple itself is peaceful and serene. The construction seems recent . An open courtyard in front of the temple provides a good view of the river and triveni sangam. Worth a visit.

Tranquil atmosphere with a lot of small temples. Kids can run around if the weather is cool. Not a must to see.

Gita Mandir is one of the popular attractions nearby Somnath. Gita Mandir is famous for its depiction of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta, the holy book of Hindus. The mandir, dedicated to Lord Krishna, is decorated with paintings of Lord Krishna. As per legends, Gita mandir is situated at the spot where Lord Krishna took rest after his walk from Balkha Theerth... More
