Tarin Fish Farm is a beautiful fish rearing farm, located near Hapoli. Fishes of high altitude are bred here whose fingerlings are sold during paddy cultivation season.
During the breeding the traditional Paddy Fish cultivation method is practiced and two crops of rice and one crop of fish (Ngihi) are cultivated together. The farm is located on a high altitude and is surrounded by pine and bamboo groves.

An interesting place to observe scientific, yet traditional breeding and fishing practices. Fishes are raised here and are sold to farmers, who later place them in their terraced rice farms. It is located slightly away from Ziro and Hapoli towns. The road to Tarin is really bad even for 4x4 vehicles!

Tarin Fish Farm is located at a high altitude amidst pine and bamboo trees. High altitude fish are bred here.
The paddy cum fish cultivation procedure is one of the major attractions of Ziro, as this is rare and not seen and practiced a lot.
The Apatani tribals of Arunachal utilize the land to its best, where rice-fish culture in the valley is done. In this unique practice two crops of rice (Mipya and Emoh) and one crop of fish (Ngihi) are raised together

Ziro valley is an out of the world place with scenic beauty n unexplored jewel of nother nature
It's home to unique apatani tribe which follow dona pollu religion
They are highly evolved n educated
Tarin fish farm is a unique cultivation system where fish is reared in paddy fields so u can earn double income
They agriculture method is unique that they don't use much of machinery but still have high yields
There is a shiva temple with a enormous shiv linga which surfaced in 2004 but finds mention in shiva puran
Best time to visit is Feb to Mar n Sep to October when locals have festivals where everyone is invited n hosted joyfully
Ziro music festival is also highly recommended
So if u want to explore mother nature with a unique n hospitable tribe, come to ziro n fall in love

Always try to visit during the farming season to see the working ladies and fish among the paddy. Its been a major source of inspiration for the Japanese agricultural universities.
