Great location and temple
Apr 2019 • Family
Temple is under construction. The location is amazing. It is very different from the regular crowded places of worship that you visit.

Intimidating
Apr 2019 • Friends
The road to the Shiv Ling is testing, especially when there has been rain. It, once you reach the place, you feel that it's beautiful in its own way. Very raw, which signifies lord Shiva himself. Although, the govt is trying to construct a structure around the natural shiva lingam, which in my opinion is spoiling the whole temple. It should be left alone.

Ziro
Dec 2017 • Solo
Ziro is a place packed with amazing things to see and leave you with your mouth open.
To understand this place, please hire a local guide. He will take you around places and also enrich you with its history.
Try to live with a local Apatani people to understand their culture and heritage.

I visited Ziro in December 2017. I stayed with an Apatani couples. My local guide Michi took me to all places which are touristy and places which are non touristy.

The dominating shivaling.
Mar 2018 • Solo
There is a motorable road up to the temple itself and no more walking needed. A all weather road is under from Hopoli - Ziro. A good temple is also being constructed. The view of Shivalinga is great and the temple is called the Siddeswarnath temple. Positive vibrations made the visit more memorable.
The visit is a must.

Amazing sight of swayambhu ( appeared naturally, not man made) shivlinga
Feb 2018 • Family
The shiv linga is amazing. It is the highest swayambhu shiv linga in Asia, as explained by the priest. There are also representations of GodessParvati, Lord Ganesh and Lord Murugan, besides Shiva. The road is motor-able now and is being improved. There is no need to walk. A temple complex is being made and should be ready before the sawan Shivratri. This will hinder the view of the shivlinga though.

Beautiful natural Shiva Linga
Dec 2017 • Couples
Located maybe 20kms from Ziro the Shiva Linga was discovered by locals when they were clearing the forests. The atmosphere is serene and clean. Good place to meditate. Om Namah Shivaya.

The largest monolithic Shivalinga
Jun 2017 • Family
This is the one of the largest monolithic Shivalingas in the world. It is a relatively recent discovery.

How to get there?
Since there is no public transport to this place, you can travel here only by your own or by a hired vehicle. It is a short ride up a hill and a short walk from the dropping point.

What to do?
It was very quiet with only a couple of devotees and a priest when we visited. But, we were told that on some days there would be a bigger crowd. You can sit and meditate here, offer a prayer through the priest or just take in the stillness and calm that surrounds you.

For the faithful, this is a calm oasis. For others, you would enjoy the view from the drive up here.

Shiva Linga
Dec 2016 • Family
This is not the picture of the Shiva linga. Its a stone structure. Travellers have to walk for a little distance before they can see the stone structure.

A DIFFICULT ROAD TO A FAMOUS LOCAL ATTRACTION
Sep 2016 • Family
When travelling to Ziro or Hapoli, everyone told us we must visit this place that has a huge stone statue of Lord Shiva. Alas! As much as we tried on two consecutive days, we could not reach there, in spite of driving major part of the distance. Road was under construction / repairs. Heavy downpour made it slushy and many vehicles before us were stranded at many places.
Reluctantly, we had to turn back,
So, please make sure about the road and the weather before you go, lest you get stuck on top. We could at least come back.
