Seen this place advertised in a tourist information leaflet so went for a visit, located out of the way in the countryside we still found it easy to find, it is well signposted for visitors, car park is free (unlike some!) plenty of animals to...More

I have visited many zoos and this little one is right up with the best. It is brilliant. The tiger enclosure is like nothing I have ever seen - it has a ground-level viewing box with windows, a high level caged box where you can...More

Went with family. 15 and 3 yo. You can get really close to some amazing animals. Leopards and alligator and tigers were our favourites. Enclosures do appear to be a little small, but animals look healthy. Monkeys were definitely energetic and noisy. We were lucky...More

What a wonderful place this is! We visited the park today (9/7/18). My children aged 9/6/3 are usually uninterested in zoos however this place really caught their interest! The raised walkways are ingenious as offers a completely new angle on viewing platforms! The staff (contrary...More

This place is ideal for young kids who have no inkling or interest in animal welfare. What is very clear about this place is the size of the enclosures given to these animals - it was quite distressing to see some of these animals that...More

We first visited Thrigby about 10 years ago and enjoyed out visit, but it has gone down hill since. The aviaries have hardly any birds in them. It is impossible to take pictures of a lot of the animals because of the bars, most wildlife...More

Thrigby is about 3-4 miles from the nearest mooring on the Bure. The best is probably at Stokesby Ferry. This is Norfolk, there will almost certainly be no public transport. Walking on the busy but single track roads will... More

Yes, definitely, there are ramps everywhere and also viewing ramps through the trees to see the animals close at hand. Plenty of room for you but would probably avoid a weekend when there are lots of buggies there!
