We visited this easy to find wildlife garden with a 4 and 8 year old and both found it fun and interesting. We had visited over 20 years ago and the facilities for children had expanded with demand. The tigers are always a highlight but we had never seen quite so many crocodiles in one place before, so these were... More

Expensive to get in and once in we were very disappointed. Very small animal enclosures, animals in filthy enclosures, (vomit & feces in one monkey cage), many empty enclosures. It seemed a throwback to zoos of the 1930's and this was reinforced by the cafeteria - although I hate to use that word. More like a 1950's roadside caff, stale... More

Sorry to hear that you were disappointed by your visit today. Did you raise your concerns with a member of staff during your visit? I'm sure that they would've been more than happy to discuss your issues and to alleviate any concerns that you had. Please be reassured that our enclosures face rigorous inspections from the local authority and they... More

After many years visiting the east coast we finally paid Thrigby animal park a visit. Always having presumed it was yet another animal park I couldn't have been more wrong. The park has a quaint charm with plenty of picnic benches and regular benches scattered throughout the park. The selection of animals and birds is varied which includes monkeys, crocs,... More

Not the biggest but possibly the best animal park i have ever visited. Remember this isn't a zoo but never the less plenty of animals to see and enjoy. raised walkways round many enclosures mean a good and sometimes very close view of the animals. Animal feeding times are clearly displayed near entrance and friendly staff are happy to answer... More

The noisy gibbons are great. Shouting and swinging about. The big cats - the way you walk up safely and close to them.

As a group with two young children (1 and 4) this place is ideal. Quite a variety of animals that aren't too spaced out so little legs weren't tired. The grounds are well looked after and the animals don't seem to be bored or "psychotic" in their enclosures. There is plenty to keep children entertained without being instantly hit with... More

Whilst this park is a good visit, it only takes about an hour to walk round and on thzt basis its not good value for money. You can get super close to tje animals which is great and our kids liked that. We couldnt help thinking that a couple of the animals needed bigger enclosures, the clouded leopard is pretty... More

Although i said wee. We spent 6 hours here to see all the animals and have lunch. It was great. Lots of interesting animal facts, lots of surprises. We were not expecting the variety of animals here. The enclosures are well made and there are lots of raised walk ways and viewing platforms so you can get right up close... More

Nice little find, has more to offer than you think worth a visit. I nice amount of animals to visit and walk around encloses may need a bit of up keep atended to, so animal welfare is kept to its best, there are nice play areas for kids.

What a wonderful day we have just had! I did look online before we left and found some quite negative reviews. It didn't stop me from going. Having been to Longleat and other very commercialised places I found Thrigby a refreshing change. My Mum uses an electric scooter and the whole park is accessible... for the very first time I...
