The museum is small and is housed in a beautiful old building. The exhibitions were okay and relatively small. The hot air balloon part was the nicest, but .. small. That could have gotten more room at the expense of one of the others.

Small museum but i enjoyed looking a the exhibit. Not much people around but the exhibits were very much okay. Only that it was a bit expensive according to my husband..he paid for us, i do not know how much but he said so.

A nice museum with really friendly staff and an extremely steep stair case that has a not far of vertical bannister! The museum has some interesting information about valkenburg and rotating exhibitions. It is a little expensive for its size but worth a visit.

The staff could not be more helpful. They even showed me the key points of interest and then left me to explore the rest on my own. The museum and regional art were interesting. I would definitely recommend this site.

First part is steam ride Valkenburg to Simpelveld. From there two routes, one to Kerkrade the other to Vetschau just over the German border operated by railbus. Interesting.

The local Valkenburg museum is run by a private foundation, with a small town council subsidy. It offers an insight in regional art life and has a quite interesting museum shop.

I visited the Museum Land van Valkenburg whilst I was in Valkenburg as part of a Christmas Market weekend in 2012. It's not particularly well signed and you could easily miss it even though it is in the centre of Valkenburgh and on the main...More
