Went to Vlinders aan de Vliet today with my wife and daughter. We had been here last year and was pleasantly surprised that the Tropical Gardens has doubled in size and the cafe area had been refurbished. Nice cafe, pleasant staff and I thought it was reasonably priced. It’s a shame it is not open in the winter months as we’d enjoy a day in the tropics in the dark, cold months and would definitely come here then.

The indoor, jungle-like garden is home to many beautiful butterflies fluttering around you - it is quite a unique experience.
You can also find fish, reptiles, birds and ducks in the small zoo area.
You can spend an afternoon here and enjoy the tropical feeling, observe the creatures and get a bite in the café.

Nice place where you can see beautifull buterflys. Here also are some birds (in cage), few fishs. Place where can take nice photos if you dont have possibility to get to real jungle.

This place has been around for a long time . walk through a very tropical temperature so best on day that isn't too hot outside.

Plenty of colorful butterflies and a few cages reptiles and snakes to view.
1.5 hours is enough time to see it all. Fair pricing.

A slightly shabby little place that actually looks like a somewhat rundown greenhouse. They do however have some beautiful butterflies flitting around. So care is appreciated when going in and out. Not like a little child we saw while there messing around and letting one of the butterflies get trapped in the sort of airlock partition between the outer door and the greenhouse. For lovers of Flutterby's you can spend a nice hour or so and hopefully get some great photo's

Many beautiful butterflies in a jungle like setting. Large iguana and some gorgeous birds. There is even an alligator and various snakes. The place is being expanded.

Lovely butterfly house. Many other animals to see too. Our teenaged girls love it. Small shop with drinks and snacks for sale. They are currently in the process of extending the butterfly house so it should be bigger and better very soon!

This little butterfly garden is very interesting. Not only are there many gorgeous butterflies fluttering around there are lots of very interesting plants with beautiful flowers.
The owner called his toerako bird, which flew to him and landed on his arm. It transferred to me then to my sister. It was sweet, let us pet him. It had beautiful colors and “eye lashes”. The owner showed us the plans for extending the facility. It will almost triple in size with a nice seating area, restaurant etc.
It is worth the time and the money to pay a visit to this place.
