FISHING TOURISM: Spend a whole day aboard an authentic fishing vessel with real fishermen to explore the coastline and the secrets of marine dephts, observe and experience the most traditional methods of fish catching, taste the genuineness of freshly-caught fish and swim in corners inaccesible from land, discovering the natural jewels of the Protected Marina Area of Portofino!

Come on board the Castel Dragone and rediscover the richness of the sea!

ICHTHYIC TOURISM: Try our catch of the day in a corner of paradise called Punta Chiappa, on the Portofino Promontory. The dishes from our "Pescamenu" (Fishing-menu) are more than fresh as they depend on the seasonal catch of our fishing vessel. We catch it, we cook it...And you taste it!

Castel Dragone is in a beautiful location, out on Punta Chiappa where Lord Byron lived for a time. The restaurant is set under trees looking across the bay towards Genoa. The fish is fresh. The food is well-cooked - adequate rather than excellent. However, it is extremely expensive for what you get.

Beautiful fresh seafood and great homemade pasta all very simple on paper plates. A hidden gem at the end of our walk we found Erica and her chef partner working out of a tiny little kitchen producing delicious dishes. An absolute find......a lovely cold beer after our long hike. Egizia and Patrizia from Australia

We had a starter and a main course which turned out to be a good idea as the portions weren't big despite of the price but the... More

For lunch, I ordered the Fish of the day and got 4 tiny fish that I could hardly eat, fish so small that the flesh was scarce amongst tons of bones, a meal such a this would be easily considered a snack, even without the bones, and yet we were charged Euros 15. The bread was stale and the white... More

We had been hiking above the cliffs checking out the World War 2 Bunkers of Monti di Portofino which still remain (also another interesting thing to do in that area) when we cut down the track towards Punta Chiappa and stumbled upon this restaurant, tucked up on the side of the path surrounded by all the beautiful trees. The staff... More
