We watched at the Acropolis of Lindos every night through our apartment window. Well lit, beautiful at night. There was no need to tell us to visit it in the morning. We hired donkey taxi to get up almost to the top (E5.00 per person one way). In the beginning it looked like not too reliable way to go up... More

This was a bit of a climb to the top, but if you wanted you could ride a donkey up the back way. Several people did and they did just fine. However, our tour guide said if you ride a donkey, you smell like a donkey :) The view from the top was beautiful. It involved some climbing over broken... More

We took the kids to the Acropolis, and despite one child being quite annoyed that it was ‘nothing but broken stones’, I would recommend. Children have free entry. Adults are 12 euro each. We visited during late October. Whilst it was fairly busy, I imagine it would be even busier during peak summer. As you approach Lindos, the summit of... More

It is so hard to put in words after watching movies and magazines about Greece it is all true. It is breathtaking beautiful and to have the opportunity to climb and explore that beautiful Acropolis of Lindos was like walking in History. It is so worth go up the stairs and being part of it for a few hours.

It's a little bit of a climb to the top, but once you're there you'll have an amazing view over the surrounding. The Acropolis is well maintained and worth it to have a look around. We walked up through the small streets with all shops and small restaurants. It's a nice route to go up there, when we went back... More

Situated on a commanding hill overlooking the village. Quite a bit to see of the remains and you can visualize how the area may have been. As with many ruins it has been through many differing times and you can see mainly the latter remains although the guide does point out some of the earlier parts. A pleasant walk up... More

Took a donkey up the mountain, terrifying, lovely guide but never again. Once at the acropolis, and having calmed my nerves the view was spectacular. Just stop, take it in, breath and you will fall in love with the view alone. The history of it was awe inspiring, to think this was built without the help of machinery is incredible.... More

This Acropolis is a bit of a climb, but is well worth it. You wind through the small traditional paths lined with shops and taverns. It is very pretty. Then you find your way to the Acropolis. Wow! what a place and the views from the top are stunning.
