Title says it all, you have to visit! Although I wasn't keen on riding a donkey all the way (poor things) we walked up quite a bit then got on donkeys that looked happier

Worth a day trip to see the acropolis and visit lindos village its a very steep area but donkeys can be hired in lindos for the trek up to the acropolis worth a visit

yes there are more steps once you dismount from the donkey. past the entrance gate is an original, steep stone staircase. at some points with no hand rail and steep drop. past the steep steps you still have a climb on uneven... More

If you only have four hours to see the Parthenon and you are somewhat elderly and are willing to pay for a taxi, what is the best way to access the acropolis ?

a taxi will only take you to the edge of the village,as it pedestrianised. you can either walk up or take a donkey.
