Beautiful building housing multiple artefacts just next to the amphitheatre. The easiest option is to grab a pamphlet at the entrance and follow the highlights. It is well worth a visit

This museum about roman art is worth the € 3. Most of the descriptions are in English. You can see a wide variety of artifacts ranging from coins to columns to statues.

Though we've been to Merida many times, we finally decided to see this museum. We began in the basement and we were stunned at the impressive displays... there is even a Roman road and parts of Roman dwellings... Upstairs is filled with mosaics and statues....More

So much to look at here, we must have spent a few hours looking round. So many antiquities and going down to the basement and looking at the excavations and the roman road, very well done.
