Our first major stop on our way from Vienna Airport to Salzburg, was to the tiny hamlet of Golling, conveniently situated just off the highway, and famous for its prominent Waterfalls. After a week of continuous rains, we expected to view a fair quantity flowing...More

You hear the thunder and feel/see the spray from the falls before you see the waterfall. Not too expensive, not too strenuous of a hike along the creek, and around a little corner there it is... We didn't go above it, but the trail goes...More

Taking a train from salzburg to golling was a 20 minute ride. although, I advise having a car or bike as the walk to the waterfall takes about 35 minutes. The walk to the waterfall is filled with beautiful country houses with open green fields....More

Last night was heavy rain so it was an extraordinary spectacle. Although we went in the rain and had to be cautious about the slippery stones, it was a beautiful sight and it was awesome to feel the power of nature.

This is off the motorway but worth the extra half hour. We stopped and had a walk and enjoyed it quite a lot. There is an entry fee (quite cheap for a family) and the walk takes you to a wonderful waterfall. It was 35...More

Amazing nature. But if you visited Krimml Waterfalls, you may skip this one. It's about 20 mins walking from parking place to the top.

A short drive out of Salzburg has you in the country with a privately managed waterfall - best kept secret it seems. There is limited onsite carparks but easy access to parks in the town (few minute walk). There is a small shop to collect...More

Certainly worth the walk to see all 3 of these waterfalls. A short climb , not too arduous. You do get a bit wet along the way from the spray, but the views are worth it. Only a short way out of Golling. Worth taking...More

The walk to the top would be easy for a healthy adult of any age provided they take their time. This is probably one of the best waterfalls I have been to, 3 euros each is a bargin. The signs say 10 minutes to get...More

Up and back an hour is plenty. If you just go to the base it's about 5-10 mins.
