I like cheese and remember visiting many years ago when it was an artisan place that made cheeses and had tastings. No tastings due to COVID (fair enough) but the place has lost its charm and is now a factory outlet that is nothing more than a supermarket selling cheese and olives etc. Great for them that they have built a big business that has really taken off, but sad that they have lost the charm and craftsmanship that went into it. It all seems very mass produced and expensive.

We went on a quiet rainy afternoon, the (one female) staff did not bother to greet us nor ask if would like anything, let alone acknowledge we were there. There were no tastings - very disappointed - they need to go to the Gabriel chocolate co to see how they can improve!!

I buy Margaret River Cheese Company cheddar all the time and thought a visit to the factory would be the opportunity to try new cheeses.
What I found was a note stuck to the door saying they were closed till 3.15pm. Then when we went back there was another note inside saying no tastings due to COVID. Other places in Margaret River were handing out samples to individuals rather than the usual 'help yourself' method.
Then to top it off, the cheddar I buy in the supermarket for $5 was $6.50 - total rip-off.

The cheese is great! But visiting the site was a complete snore fest. Nothing to taste, stock standard range that I can buy at my local supermarket. The staff looked utterly bored and uninspired, they may well have been serving buttons. Find an edge MRCC and inspire me to come back!

Disappointed. No samples currently (due to covid I guess but not explained). Really just an expensive cheese shop. Just go to your local supermarket in Perth and grab your Margaret River cheese.

Visited back in 2013 and was surprised to hear the story of the original building being ruined by fire when visiting again back again today.

The building is a bold and the logo brightly coloured to get maximum exposure on the hwy. the building truly stands out and is hard to miss.

Heading into the cheese company you are created by samples and a small shop, I couldn’t go past the gourmet bag of goodies, best way to end a day out in the Margaret river is with a platter of all the local produce we’ve acquired.

The smoked cheddar and onion jam were some favourites of our adventures today

First time we have visited this place and we couldn’t help being a little disappointed that it is no more than a shop with cheese samples and a cafe. Don’t get me wrong the cheese is fantastic and we bought a lot of cheese just from tasting but there could have been so much more to the place if there were viewing points of the cheese and dairy products being made or little interactive tours. Probably wouldn’t rush back here unless we really wanted to buy cheese.

They sell cheese and coffeee. But nowhere to watch it being made. Nowhere to sit with your coffee and enjoy rural view. No cheese toasties. Just buy your coffee and go.

A few cheese for sampling and a couple of relishes. There was ice cream on sale too but we did not feel like ice cream in the morning.
Bought the black pepper cheddar. It’s a nice stop but I won’t necessarily deliberately drive to it.
