Easy access just off A19, plenty of free parking options across site. Children's play area, cafe and toilets. Lake and hills all in the shadow of Penshaw Monument. A great low cost day out particularly in the school holidays.

Spent 3 nights in motorhome on rally to visit the Tall Ships. Lovely country park with park and ride provided on site for the event which worked very well. Seem to have quite a few events at this location and would visit again

Nice place for a walk, only downside is the groups of youths who hang out at the park and make the area feel unsafe.
