DS Skibladner is over 160 years old and provides an authentic experience of steamship traffic in the 1800s. Aboard the ship, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape of Mjosa, experience steam engine and blades in operation, admire the magnificent lounges under deck, sending postcards from the ship's own mailbox, and enjoy a good meal in 1st Plads Madsalon. Besides, we have a number of exciting events with diverse music and entertainment throughout the season.

The worlds oldest paddlesteamer still in operation is definitely worth a visit. I took it from Gjovik, to Hamar and back. In the restaurant I enjoyed the Signature dish; Norwegian Salmon and fresh strawberries

If you visit the Oslo area or any town around the lake Mjøsa in the summertime (mid June-mid August) make sure you book a tour on Skibladner, the oldest paddle-steamer still in scheduled service! I love going on this magnificent vessel, it is really the art of travelling slowly. You may choose to depart form several spots, but my "roundtrip"... More

It's a bit expensive, but not more so than other tourist attractions in Norway. The only negative on this short cruise was the lack of good seating. Since I suffer from... More

Unfortunately, the boat starts tours on the 15 th of June. So, the guests in the town should realize that it is not available all the year round.

Just go and enjoy the Cruice on Mjøsa - Norway's biggest and perhaps deepest lake. Even if it is not obligatory you may want to enjoy dinner: Salmon, white wine and Strawberries. It is a very beautiful ship ride - unlike most you have been aboard on...

Just a roof over the boat. Nothing to see, nothing to enjoy. Do not understand why this is included here.
