This is the only place we found with souvenirs that had the word Haugesund on them. Small selection though, but we wanted some and got them.

We visited the information desk to inquire about the must see and must does in Haugesund. The lady explained in excellent English where to go and from where and how to use the public transportation.

The staff at the office are helpful and there is no problems switching to another language, if you are unable to understand Norwegian. They have lots of brochures in stock and also sell the odd memorabilia.

I had family members from abroad for a visit, and needed information material and updated maps. The Tourist information on Bytunet in central Haugesund was a very good place to find it.

I don't know if there's a formal route per se, but the Brygge (wharf) is the center of Haugesund & there are many interesting sights nearby.
