We have nothing but excellent feedback for the team at Glød!. On Friday 17th Feb there was 100% cloud coverage and heavy, heavy snow we all had the feeling that we weren't going to be able to find the Northern Lights - but we did!!!! After checking out the reviews on here (obsessively) and then a recommendation from someone we... More

Cloudy snowy skies and these guys, using their local knowledge, drove us 100 clicks south to find us a break in the clouds and a sighting of the northern lights. We also used them that afternoon to try cross country skiing for the first time and had a great time. Whilst no-one can guarantee a sighting, these guys are a... More

Had been weather watching for a while and sure enough things weren't looking good for our little expedition. However with Sara, (our superstar guide and photographer) we were still able to hunt and find the lights. Sara was prepared to drive a long way if needed to ensure we got the experience we came for. Brilliant - no hesitation recommending... More

Highly recommend doing a Northern Lights Tour with GLOD. They were excellent. Our guides were Sara and Joakim (hope spelt correctly!), who were so incredibly enthusiastic, warm, friendly and knowledgeable. We could tell we had a good night by the sheer joy on our guides faces when the lights not only came out, but then entertained us with her dancing.... More

This was a great start to our Norway holiday - first evening and we got so lucky to see the Aurora in its full glory. We got picked up by our Glød guide Sara and were driven to their headquarters where we had yummy dinner and a detailed presentation about the science behind the northern lights. Sara was very knowledgable... More

We are writing this whilst still in Alta on a 5 night trip from the UK. Our first trip with Glod was a couple of nights ago hunting the Northern lights. Our guide Sara was superb. Sara collected us from our hotel and took us to the head quarters to join 5 more guests for a presentation on the NL.... More

We prebooked this tour with glod back in England before we went out to alta. They picked us up from the hotel round the corner and took us to there headquarters for a briefing and some warm soup. We were shown all about the science behind the northern lights and how to setup our cameras before handing us thermal suits... More

Vik, our very knowledgable guide suggested that we maximise our trip by driving to the top of the mountain just 20 mins from Alta instead of the suggested (by the weather forecast). We had a fantastic experience with over 1 hour of the light show presented by the "Aurora". Initially the colours were just static and I was saying to... More

We had a fabulous time both nights that we chased the Northern Lights with Glød. Our guides, Åse and Joakim for the two trips were informative, and dedicated to managing expectations under some difficult viewing conditions (saw Lights both trips, especially fabulous the second night, when we drove 45 minutes from Alta. Even if you have a bad photo night... More
