Remarkable place for me. Located at a lake side somewhere in the woods. Nearly smoked, wearing flip-flops and bikini in heavy snowfall, heading to ice bath, the best ever.

Really wanted to try the smoke sauna / lake dip while I was in Finland. This was a amazing experience if you have never done this kind of thing before I would completely recommend it and do push yourself to give it a go, two from my group were not interested in getting in the frozen lake but they did... This is a must do in Finland if u want to literally jump In head first into Finnish culture. The smoke Sauna is a tradition and if u can brave it jump In the frozen lake. Make sure to take slippers or your feet will freeze in the winter when U walk from Sauna to Sauna or Sauna to lake... More

Sitting in the Kuusijärvi smoke sauna, it felt like a cross between a community meeting and the witches scene in Roman Polanski's Macbeth. I would say is really worth a visit for a traveller that wants a local and traditional experience. You need to remember your bathers, as the smoke sauna is gender mixed. You can hire towels and eat... More

Visited there with family of 3 and also friends. A little lake / pond with brown water which taste a little bit like metal. Warm water during summer time.

At Kuusijärvi you can bath in old fashioned sauna and swim in a small lake. There are two different types of saunas you can choose - one heated with electricity (separate for women and men) and the other two heated with wood which are called smoked saunas (they are black inside and are mixed with both women and men). One... More

This is where a lot of the city areas triathlon fanatics come to train starting early spring when water is only 10-12 degrees. It's a good spot because most triathlons in Finland are organized by lakes, there are no waves and it's fairly shallow and smooth bottom. Also switches are easy to train here with a big parking lot and... More

This small lake is in summer absolutely crowded, since it's the only one in East Vantaa. The area is nice for hiking, running, and for.ex. volleyball. Sun bathing and going to sauna are the main reason to visit in summer. In winter ice swimming and sauna are the best in Kuusijärvi.

Kuusijärvi is a hugely popular place among people who live in the nearby areas. When it's warm and sunny this place gets crowded with all types of people; families, youngsters, elderly.. It's also a popular spot to crab a coffee or an ice-cream when enjoying a day motorcyckling around. There are saunas, conference rooms, a beach, a refreshing lake, basketball... More
