Ok, Kuusijärvi is the only natural lake in Vantaa. Because of that it is terribly crowded in summer and especially on holiday season. When I first times went there (about 1962 or so) it was charming, clearwatered natural lake without any cafes, sandy beaches, saunas...More

I really liked the finnish sauna experience. It is quite busy but nice. Not very expensive. One can choose which sauna to go to. Dipping into the frozen lake was exquisite. There is a picnic area near by.

A very popular swimming lake for locals. In Summer it will be packed but in the Winter one can do ice swimming and then go to sauna. Very cheap too.

Very peaceful and beautiful place not so far from Helsinki. You can pick up blueberries and other berries and swamps depending of the time in the year. In autumn you see all different bright colours in trees and on ground.

If the weather is good then Kuusijärvi will be fully packed by people taking sun baths and swimming. So yes this is a good place to visit in mid-July if the sun is shining.
