The Discovery Centre is a world-class ecotourism facility nestled in the heart of the world’s oldest tropical rainforest. As the #1 Attraction in the Daintree it provides a wonderful introduction to this iconic world heritage destination. The spectacular Canopy Tower and Aerial Walkway allow visitors to explore every level of the forest and Audio Guides in 6 languages are a hit with overseas visitors. But it is it’s innovative Carbon Offset Project that is attracting attention! Part of every entry fees goes towards ‘saving the planet’ via its bio-sequestration scheme. The Discovery Centre is sustainable ecotourism at its best!

This place was inspirational, it gives you a very good insight into the rainforest, it's formation, destruction and relevance. Alongside this it also gives a sound understanding of how aboriginies utilised the forest for everyday life and the on going impact this has. The centre has an array of animals on display that make their home in the rainforest but... More

This centre is an excellent way to see the rain forest close up and learn about the flora and fauna. We ended up spending far longer there than intended, because it was so interesting. If you want to use it there is a free guided audio tour which gives information about points along the walkways. As well as the extensive... More

It's a fantastic centre and well worth the visit. The kids really enjoyed listening on the handsets provided. Climbing the tower provides a great experience at looking at the top canopy of the rainforest. Well worth a visit.

The discovery centre is well set up and offers loads of info on the rainforest and its eco system. I would recommend for anyone with not much time but if staying for a while you can explore the rainforest for free and see nearly the same thing. Being high in the canopy is a good perspective, but the best thing... More

For the average tourist not doing deep rainforest treks, I thought the Discovery Centre was very smart. There is an elevated walkway & tower allowing looking down into the rainforest. There is a large information centre with many excellent exhibits. There a personal audio device that provide excellent information. The entry price may be a little high however for a... More

We unfortunately recently visited the Daintree discovery centre and what a major disappointment . Over priced and under whelming the experience was poor , the cost price was $32.00 and to be honest overpriced by at least $20 ! The walk over the canopy was over in twenty min , lots of trees no butterflies , no animals except for... More

Nice facility with things to read. We are travelling as a couple and doing lots of activities where similar info is given in a more experiential way. It may be a better experience for those traveling with small children.

Way way too expensive. Don't bother - I learnt more doing the actual free walks. This place should be boycotted until the price comes down.

A very expensive 1 hour walk around a boardwalk. The audio wasn't too bad. But we preferred just walking around and taking in the sounds of nature. The entry fee of $32 was quite high, plus the $25 ferry fee to get over to this side. Mossman gorge is free and gives you greater views of the Daintree.
