Don't usually comment on these necessary facilities but at Puts borough sands they are outstanding. Squeaky clean, spotless throughout with a pleasant smell usually absent in public toilets. The baby changing area will surprise even the most fastidious mother. I have often thought the grass...More

We stopped in Putsborough Cottage (booked through Marsdens) which was at the top of the hill overlooking Putsborough sands. It is a stunning setting, with views out over sea and around the bay to Woolacombe. All the rooms in the cottage have windows that take...More

We were totally wowed when we came to the top of the hill above the magnificent beach. The rollers were crashing in the morning sunlight. We enjoyed a super walk on the beach towards Woolacombe. A very special place.

This is by far the best beach in the north of Devon for a dogs holiday. Fantastic, sun sea and sand. What more can a dog ask for but outstanding freedom

Fantastic beach when tide is out there is lots of space. Specific area where dogs allowed. Fabulous views towards Woolacombe. Plenty of parking and one of the best public toilets. There is a busy beach cafe with inside and outside seating which is dog friendly.

If you walk the whole way along Woolacombe beach you get to Putsborough. About a 45 min walk. Excellent new toilet facilities and a nice cafe. It much quieter than Woolacombe but just as clean. It's also a little bit more secluded but you can...More

Lovely unspoiled natural beach, still gloriously clear of any ice cream or fish and chip vans. Good, clean golden sand, wide open spaces, rock pools (and shelter from prevailing winds), surfing, and good for pebble/shell searching. Cafe on edge of cliff for refreshments and loos...More
