It’s 100km drive from chennai. Had breakfast at tiffin centre at Tada by 9:00am. Reached falls Check post for entry tickets . They check our car for alcohol and we have to enter about our plastic bottles and snacks in plastic cover. They collected deposit for those plastic items. From check post we drove for 10 mins to car parking. At 11:00am there were nearly 25 cars and 50 two wheelers. There is one snack stall near parking . There are toilets . We took our backpack and walked for 15min to reach pool area of the river, many were bathing. We crossed this river and walked for 30 min towards the steam top. It was fantastic location and we had a great time walking through the stream. The main falls is closed with fence and a security guard sitting there. We had our bath in that area for an hour . Water was cold and it’s was raining slightly. Many people including ladies came till this point. Beware of monkeys, we were not able to eat anything. Had a great time. By 3:00pm we reached car parking, we had snacks . Then we collected the deposit at check post by showing the plastic bottles and covers. We had our lunch at Sri city at 4:00 pm. We all enjoyed. You can take your family to the falls , kids will definitely enjoy. Wear sandals or slippers. Shoe will get wet . Please carry a closed bag. Monkeys will come near you and take anything in open bag or hand .

I am most frquently going to Tada waterfalls. Recently my kids learn swimming there only. I am really happy,
morning 8 am opening . I recommend come asap. I don't recommend dont visit on weekends. In this covid season many members visiting so its polluted, but mon-fri few members only visiting. After bike/car parking walk atleast 1 km. Here a checkdam available. Swim there 365 days water flowing in this dam, only 5 meters height only . Next optionally go to main waterfalls Here Aug-Feb highly recommended. Its good. I recommend with family members.

With just 2 hours drive from Chennai, it is a very good place to visit. Visited during several seasons including summer and never disappointed.

Thanks to the rains, the Water flow in the falls is good and we enjoyed a lot. We spent almost a hour in the main falls alone and it's the most refreshing one.

Beware of monkeys. Pack your snacks inside your bags. As nature lovers, avoid throwing plastic covers in the forest.

Lag: Restroom facility is available, but not maintained properly.

Great place for day out but poorly maintained and there is no nearby restaurant so better plan on that.
