Not the best of organization, it is not clear when tours depart by boat or train, but with a bit of adaptive spirit, typical Serbian, you can enjoy this beautiful place. Surrounded by nature, in the reserve there are dozens and dozens of free horses, cows, donkeys and sheep. In the river a lot of wildlife and birds. Annexed there is a structure with a beautiful garden, with a vantage point where you can climb to see the view from above and a restaurant where you eat well.

The special nature reserve Zasavica is located near Sremska Mitrovica and is easily accessible by car. It is perfectly arranged, you can see many animals, especially some rare species. You can also take a boat, but it wasn't running during our visit, so we just walked around.

I spent a half day in this beautiful space, which combines beautiful nature, river, flowers, birds, pigs, donkeys into a nice picnic spot for the family. Nice and affordable boat ride makes the visit even more worth while. I warmly recommend.

Zasavica is perfect place to enjoy in pure nature. It is one of the largest wetland reserves in the country, and a refuge for many, elswhere extinct species. You can see a lot of rare protected birds and plants such as white and yellow water lily. I recommend you to drive by boat. You'll enjoy it.
And btw, you can buy a donkey cheese, one of the most expensive in the world... 1g costs €1! Why not.

It was a weekend "take off" visit. We didn't plan it. It's 50 min from Sabac or 1 and a half from Belgrade. Restaurant service isn't polite so be prepared. Our waiter was great. Try some domestic sausage (plate with "meze") or donkey cheese (the best in the world). I adore to drink "rakija" at this kind of place. We were from 5-7 pm so it was peacefull.
